A very stern lady online informed us in great detail that there is only so much the executive branch can do in the wake of a natural disaster (aside from FEMA).
I'm sure she was right. But somebody else made a good counterpoint: When an administration or political party wants to make something happen, they'll make it happen.
They'll coup their own side's president. They'll rig their primaries. They'll send billions of our tax money to other countries. They'll do more for people crossing our borders than they will for our own citizens who are suffering. | |

Those affected by the hurricane would be better off if they used the $750 to travel down to Mexico, then crossed the border claiming to be from another country seeking asylum. That way, they could tap into the money FEMA DOES HAVE that they are doling out to illegal immigrants on a daily basis. | |

I don’t understand the mentality here cause it’s super easy to just say you and others are just hateful or racist and please don’t say I have a Latino friend or black friend. I hated when growing up (I grew up with white kids) that some people would say I hate Latinos or Hispanics oh but you’re one of the good ones xeno. Such a cop out. Like I’m not illegal but people just assume cause I’m not white then I automatically am. Like get to know me first.
Like one of the reasons I am a centrist is because (my family is conservative mostly) regardless who is in power my family was still rich. When I got older and on my own at 18, it still didn’t matter cause me an individual was still poor. Like honestly gun to your head, does it really downgrade your QOL if everything isn’t republican across the board? That’s why I believe nether side is going to save this country and both sides have huge fallacies. Lots of grey area isn’t acknowledged just to troll someone. Like I see this because in liberals too who refuse to accept anything that could prove them wrong and conservatives are just the same. TBH when most of you old coots move onto Valhalla maybe we will have some type of middle ground and both parties can change and acknowledge instead of wowing people maybe we can do something to better the country (like we are the fucking USA, we should be #1 in everything and not rely on how great we were in the 40s because someday our enemies will catch up and from teaching math….i clearly see that). Believe it or not you can get the best of both worlds like that Hannah Montana song. It’s just you and others here (and not just the conservatives) are too stupid to go about it.
