There's also talk of a Fed rate rise in the near-term if the inflation rate remains high.

Variable rate mortgage?
I was hoping we could just drop them rates even more please.

I don’t have variable rate mortgages. Have a variable heloc that dropped from 9.5% down to 7% though and that made me very happy.

Please predict more rate drops and stop worrying about inflation it’s fine everything is fine.
WTI Crude is currently around $91 USD/bbl. It was ~$65 last week. And the outlook isn't much better.

Qatar warns war will force Gulf to stop energy exports 'within days': https://financialpost.com/financial-times/qatar-war-gulf-sto...
If this keeps up much longer the price of everything will rise. The latest employment report wasn't particularly good either. Current consensus is that rates will hold steady after the March 17/18 meeting and rate announcement.
So, what happened to "Drill, baby, drill!" to make the US "energy independent"?

“When it’s over –– and I don’t think it’s going to be long –– when it’s over, this is going to bounce back so fast.”

“When are you going to know when it’s over?” Kilmeade asked.

“When I feel it,” Trump said. “When I feel it in my bones.”

Trump - no wars, no inflation, energy independence. Biden - wars, inflation not seen in 4 decades, no energy independence.

The problem lies in how the money is being spent, as the US continues to pour money into foreign wars that do not benefit its own citizens. A good start to stop the yearly deficit would be to cut back on paying for wars that do not directly benefit the US, and instead focus on investing the money into domestic programs that can positively impact the American people.

Moments before a nuclear World War III starts, a race of grey aliens from outer space reveal themselves as they ask humanity for peace.

But the peaceful aliens are interrupted, because suddenly the fabric of reality tears open a hole & 7th dimensional creatures reveal that they have been watching the grey aliens & have something to ask them.

But they are both interrupted when suddenly God & a thousand angels + demons reveal that they have been watching both the extra dimensional beings, the grey aliens & the angry humans.

But they are all interrupted when the server admin who's been controlling our universe instantly unlocks everyones minds. Where we learn our entire universe is just a simulation running within a computer inside of a different reality.

But then our simulation operator is interrupted, when suddenly he learns that inside of his universe it is also just a simulation.

If Trump starts World War 3, but then ends it fairly quickly, does he deserve a peace prize?

Trump getting handed the 2025 Nobel peace prize last January as a gift from somebody else who earned it was like a 4th grader giving another kid their soccer trophy. It's a nice gesture, but it wasn't earned.
