    Hi Folks!

D2F is truly a great server.

I've been having a blast playing TFC here these last few months after a more-than-decade long liberation from the killing, the spawning, the capping, and competition that is team fortress. And I'm thrilled with this community. I really can't recall any other public TFC server achieving such an impressive balance of competitive consistency and accessibility that D2F provides, even going way back to the golden age of this ancient game.

To Master Drippy and the whole D2F community: Well done!

Being that I'm still fairly new around here, my interaction with many/most of you is pretty limited.
But in spite of that, I would like to put forth a list of players I've observed to be great credits to this community.

In no particular order:

OLINKAPO
This dude is a winner. No matter the match, he will work and work and work. No quit in him, and he'll take on whatever role is necessary to make things happen and improve his team's position. He's also always encouraging to his teammates and an all around good team leader. Yeah, sometimes his temper flares a bit, but he keeps it cool for the most part. He makes a great teammate, and a challenging opponent. Hear, hear!

ADVANCE MELEE
If you find yourself up against AM, you better be darn sure to have a solid defense. Cause you know. he's. coming!
And if you're fortunate enough to have him on your squad, his presence is enough to inspire faith in any offense. Furthermore, he's never an asshole to anyone, but rather a friendly, respectful and cool fella. Hear, hear!

$cReameR - Big Daddy Screamer! One of the coolest guys around. Always having fun, up for any challenge, and shaking things up in game. A real force to be reckoned with behind the sniper scope, I pity the fool crossin' his bridge! Always a thrill to play with and against The Lt. And always a gentleman. Hear, hear!

Sierra He's the man, what more can I say? One of the good guys. Getting stuff done and making games fun. Always joining the teams that need him most. A major asset, he is, and tricky as the devil. Hear, hear!

There are many, many other solid members of this community. Feel free to dish out some praise.

Ooh, a hall of fame thread!

I love my solid engineers. :P I just feel so safe on a team with strong engineers. Allows the offense players to lower their adrenaline levels and breathe more easily.
I guess for now I'll write about 2 engineers who I've played a lot against.

Skeetzz:
Don't tell him, it's a secret to everyone :) , but I have a real admiration for this player. I've played with him since 2006 probably, still have deep respect for who he is in this community.
Did you know this???: Skeetzz has a teleporter from the top of our elevator to the top of the enemy elevator! :D Pretty sure less than half of the team understands what he means by that, when he says that. Haha!
Sadly I don't really connect to players other than while playing the game, I'm sure that Skeetzz is quite an interesting man. So, cheers to Skeetzz!

Slesar'-sborschik III razryada:
From a previous thread recently, I wrote:

"Slesar is brilliant! <(^___^)>
Played vs and with him since like 2009 I think. I remember when he used to be that one engineer that always was building sentry guns in the ramp room (catwalk) + dispenser top elevator. Now he's a complete mix of playing as engineer.

I always feel so safe with him on my team too. :P I like how he defends, he likes to leave the sentry gun somewhere in the basement, with teleporter and dispenser. But he doesn't just hang back in the basement, he intercepts the offense players on their way to the flag, like he's playing a soldier guarding the 2nd floor / main respawn.
So annoying to play against, cuz I prefer not to waste my regular nades on an engineer except in the enemy basement. He even reads quite well when I do random mindgames with him. :p
He's also a welcome addition on the offense side of things, he reads game flow patterns quite well and knows how to adjust. "Teleporter to enemy elevator" - Like how did that happen? :D"

A "Hall of Fame" is usually reserved for memorable players after they've retired. #justsaying.

However, if it's just an "appreciation" thread.... I can think of more than a few(not already listed):

Fred: He plays whichever class benefits the team the most. Great with communication(possibly one of the legitimate "keys" to the game).

Dave Lister: He can help control the bridge or lock down the basement.

There's more... but I'll wait and see what input others have.

I am flattered. I don't think I belong on that list, but I do very much appreciate the mention - especially from the battlements airshot expert that you are. Thanks =)
