Thanks @Spoofer @xipo. Barely played for a month so will test some things out soon. I did change my fps_max to 144 and got unplayable screen tear, so back to 240 for now. | |

I've watched klumy, fatal, amiro/wheat in numerous matches over the years. For the 'combat' playstyle, I'm not seeing anyone clearly better than dr spoofus.
EDIT: only actually seen amiro recently actually, but the point stands. | |

The ladder is kinda inspiring me to unquit TFC and maybe get into more pickups this year though. | |

I lost to spoof by like 1 or 2 when I first came back. My config sucks for ass_dm, I have to hit 3 or whatever for shotgun and then my mwhdwn is last weapon used maybe; other config is right click shotty so I need to load that up before I venture back into any ladders. | |

Oh, is it? I didn't realize. My monitor is pretty bright so it looks fine to me, but I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.
But yes, fuck the light; in the darkness is where I live.

Yeah, the awesome Buck. He's fallen on hard times lately and has disappeared again after being overly down on himself. He's the one that made me join the ass ladder to begin with, heh. In the past year he channeled a lot of positive energy into relearning guitar, but the other day he had to sell his guitar + amp just to afford groceries. I feel really bad, and wish I could do more to help him out. :{

I feel for him. I really do. He activates his Facebook account, posts for a day or two, then deactivates it again for a while(weeks, or sometimes months). I don't think he does it to seek attention, but to use it as an outlet for the chaos going on in his head.
He's not a bad dude, he just has a real problem with depression and maybe some other mental health issues.
I'm really sorry to hear he had to sell his guitar. He was doing really good with it. In fact, he gave me permission to use some of his work as an intro to videos I keep procrastinating on making. If anyone can get a line on how to contact him, maybe we can do something to get that thing back for him?
He really did start falling apart when he lost his mother. Granted, he's always been "hard on himself", but I know from talking to him that he idolized her, and losing her a while back really pushed him in a bad direction. I think she was the only person holding him together for a very long time.
I know Buck isn't the most popular guy on the server(especially for Drippy-).... and I don't normally stick my neck out for a "problem child", but having talked to him at length, and having had real life friends who have gone through similar things as what he has told me, I can't really blame him for how he is. He truly is a product of his experiences. Some of which I can personally relate to. And no, I don't think any of what he told me was an act.
I won't lie, every time he disappears, I keep thinking we're going to hear about him through a 3rd party, that he's gone and done something irrevocably stupid. Possibly because I've talked him down from that ledge a few times. | |

I mulched with buck once. I remember him being good. Thats sad hes fallen on some tougher times. But only he can pull himself up and take life. People can support him and wish him well and lend a hand, but he has to want change. Id never judge someone on how they behave or misbehave at drippys. I talk so much trash on drippys, but im not like that in real life. Im a fairly humble guy.
Ive probably mulched like a couple dozen times so im not by any means good.
Maybe ill try this mulch ladder.
I need to start like bottom rung though. Anyone bottom rung would still probably rekt me being that im sure most of these people are in that beer league.
And all I do is play drippys like a half hour a week. | |

I technically "won" the match, but I think eating such a catastrophe should invalidate any and all wins and immediately drop a person back down to the bottom of the ladder. I was desperately looking down at my keyboard trying to find my suicide key to avert the full weight of the embarrassment, but I failed to trigger it in time.
