Fair points. Not gonna lie, those are very fair points.
But that's why I'm asking. Yeah, it would be on Twitch. But TFC is kinda only the beginning. I have other games to play, one of which is Fortress Forever. Plus Command and Conquer. It's kinda a crap shoot on if people will watch.

Speaking of "Reaction" videos...
I think I just found my first "First Time Watching" series.
Have you guys heard of the Hulu series, "Woke"?
An ad for it popped up on Facebook the other day, and the image on the ad made it look like it's not taking itself too seriously. Of course, there was a comment section, so I went to take a look.
Fuckin' Hell, the comment section was LIT!
You could tell the political leanings of some of the commentors, just by what they said. I'm not trying to get this thread moved, so I'm only briefly going to touch on this.
The "obvious" Republicans were throwing a fit because "We don't need no more of this Woke BS", and "They're owned by Disney, the Wokest company on the planet! Never getting a dime out of me!" and similar types of things.
Someone had mentioned that the show is a comedy, with a high level of parody. A few others mentioned that those losing their minds might want to actually see what the show is about before making a judgment call about it.
Well, my interest was piqued, so I read the short description:

I have a few things to do before I can get started, but I'm going to start recording reactions to this show today. I'll edit them down, and get them posted at some point.

Have yet to watch all of it but your personality and charisma is definitely great for reaction type videos. My one complaint thus far is the audio what's being played on your computer is a few db lower than your audio when you talk. Ideally, you want the audio levels to be somewhat close enough to where the listener doesn't have to fiddle with the volume. Obviously this makes it harder to hear if you end up speaking over clips, but there's a few workarounds.

I've done a few since that one, including messing around with the audio sources and balancing. I just haven't edited and uploaded any of those yet.
Before I do "Woke", I'm going to edit at least one of the "All in the Family" episodes I did yesterday (I recorded episodes 1-4 from season 1). At least one of those should give me an idea if I'm on the right track as far as audio balancing goes.
Kev from the "Sofa and Chill" channel also offered up a few suggestions when I asked him. I hit him up through e-mail a couple of weeks ago, and he said pretty much the same thing you did (both about the audio and my personality). The one thing he mentioned that I fixed right away, was the intro length. He was right, it was too long. Too long of an intro, and people click off of it. I cut it back to like 4 seconds. That seems much better.
As far as "talking over clips", I'll probably be using pauses to help with that if I can't find proper "dialogue spaces" to work with.
Frankly, I think it might be hilarious to do episodes of "All in the Family", AND a show called "Woke" during the same time frames. I mean, "All in the Family" has been ranked as one of the most "non politically correct" shows ever. So there's an element of humour there, too.
Another thing I need to mess with soon, is knowing the threshold for avoiding Copyright claims. Unless something has changed, I think you get up to 10 minutes of content for "review/educational" purposes. I'll also probably need to drop a "Fair Use" notice in there somewhere. | |

Heh.... nice idea. I'll see what I can come up with.
I might get to recording that show tomorrow. I'm finally uploading All in the Family S1 - E2. Had a problem with Episode 1, for some reason, the video of the episode didn't embed into the reaction video. No clue how or even IF I could fix that.
I think I'll hop on the server for a bit, and maybe record episode 1 later on tonight, if I'm feeling up to it.
