Banned until February 6th for giving away the position of a player on the team which I was playing. Ok, I guess it was a low blow to my teammates, but FFS this jackass (AKA Pipes} is constantly blocking main respawn or resupply, blindly piping and throwing MIRVS in the hopes of getting a kill. He is totally ineffective at protecting the flag but does manage knocking his teammates all over hell with his spam, and prevents others from making an accurate shot at the enemy nearby or the flag carrier itself.
I called him out in pub chat with the obviously ill-conceived effort of getting him spammed himself so he’d move on and get the hell out of the freakin way. I apoligise to other players who may have been killed leaving respawn, but not to Pipes who was drawing fire before I called him out.
I would ask Drippy- if he could shorten my ban to 1 day as 5 day is a bit excessive for what I would consider a minor rule infraction. It’s not like he was helping the team any, matter of fact IMO he was causing more harm playing from main respawn than good.
Lets go people flame away. Maybe this post will distract from the post about guns, WW-2, the outdated constitution (according to –X- anyway) and all the other bullshit in that thread.
Also, next time I will kindly ask Pipes to be a bit more considerate of his teammates in team chat.
Another question I have is, isn’t playing from main respawn considered a disruption of the game if he’s blocking others from entering or leaving safely? I have seen other players kicked for doing just that.

The most of effective way of calling out players on their cowardly bullshit is public shaming. Some people do it out of ignorance and some are malicious so a simple nonjudgemental "quit your bullshit" should be enough.
Kudos on calling out someone on your own team. More people need to to this. During the heat of the battle it becomes difficult to warn the opposing team that they have a player (usually demo or sniper) constantly exploiting their own spawn.

Pipes was going on this morning about teams being stacked and as he put it "leaving him with noobs" I told him that it wasn't intentional, but anyone who is a regular on the server would rather not play on his team. I also admit that he is a huge pain in the ass, and the sad thing is that people watch his style of play and then think it's ok for them to do the same thing. It's bad enough that we have demos who pipe the battlements and don't take a moment to see if the player landing on them is friendly or not before detting. Pipes also likes to spam the bridge, which I'm fine with because he's not "protected"
He's generally quite predictable regardless, he's either top spiral, batts or playing in the main spawn entrance corridor or just inside the exit.
I'd like to see the ban lifted also. Jusssayin! | |

I would rather our resident Nazi lover than pipes to be honest, I think pipes plays from spawn just to draw spam, or dropdown. Good Job Muadib on calling that asshat out. I want to sign the petition to have muadib unbanned. | |

Next time, use !report. If you're going to "out" him to an opposing player, use !msg. Doing it publicly will only draw fire back to you.
As for Muad's politics, I could care less what they are, as long as he's a decent player in the game. Leave forum shit on the forums.

I’m not quite sure, Wally. It’s all good though, I could use a 5 day vacation from the game anyway so I can catch up on a few projects that I have neglected recently.
We’re expecting another 8-16 inches of snow starting tonight going through all day tomorrow adding to the 31 inches that fell here earlier in the week. I have to get up at 3 AM and be at work by 4 regardless of the weather conditions, sucks big time for me.
On a brighter note. Congratulations to my home team The New England Patriots winning Super Bowl XLIX. Now it’s time to look forward to my beloved Red Sox win another World Series in the upcoming 2015 season, though I am skeptical for even a third place finish this year.
And thanks to the guys here that support me, it is appreciated.

Yes, the Patriots earned it. Maybe this will finally end the inflategate garbage. Pretty poor showing by the Seahawk players on the last "knee down" play, in front of the world no less. I suspect there will be several Seahawks who will not be in the first few games of next season due to suspensions. Well, if nothing else, we can entertain you here in the forums! | |

Pipes cares about his k:d, he doesn't give a shit that he's intentionally drawing respawn spam by hugging respawn all the time.
Pipes, Angler and Suicide Bomber... these are the people where I'd rather unbalance teams or quit the game than play with them. Fire hydrants are more useful than these fucksticks. | |

Thats what you should do - change teams or just quit if you can't stand it.
What you shouldn't do: Intentionally teamshooting, teaminfecting, blocking, or giving away their position to the enemy. All things that will get you banned very quickly. | |

Drippy, not that I'm questioning you but all of the things you mentioned are bannable offenses and nobody is disputing that.
Is it really wise to advise people to change teams or quit? When they do either, that position gets filled, eventually that player is going to do the exact same thing... change or quit. Worse of all is that new players see how (pipes for example) is playing and they think it's alright to follow suite.
You perm'd RV a few weeks ago because of his repeated and blatant disregard for the rules (which I applaud btw) however there are plenty of other players who are just as much of a disruption if not more. And not that I'm defending RV by any stretch of the imagination but I didn't see many of the D2f super-regulars changing teams or quitting because he was playing. Now pipes on the other hand... I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I try to avoid playing on his team whenever possible.
Maybe you can figure out a code that would cause some kind of server shame when someone has been hovering around their spawn for a certain length of time. Maybe ralphy can teleport them to the bridge and freeze them or something.
*edit* shouldn't purposely playing from a position repeatedly that causes spawn spam be added to the list of no-no's? It does disrupt the game for the people trying to legitimately play. | |
