According to Douglas Adams, there once was a man who built his house "inside-out". He did this, and claimed he lived "outside the asylum".
I completely understood the reasoning and logic behind this, and kinda feel that way myself. | |

Drippy was already lenient in unbanning him once and people who want to try TFC are going to see Drippy's 2Fort and join and if they encounter a guy who is moaning on the mic, team infecting and doorblocking they will uninstall and never come back. I would like if he wasn't banned, but he was banned for good reasons and Drippy is smart enough not to make an exception again. He may be a despot but he's a highly intelligent one! :P | |
Yeah, fuck him, door blocking AND team infecting? Ya know fellas, we're in the game to have fun, when someone does shit to make it not fun, they need to go. Some things don't make sense, how does team shooting, door blocking, team infecting, etc., add to the game or help your team with the primary objective of capping the enemy flag?
Keep your eyes on the prize and stop mourning people that take the fun out and run counter to the primary objective. They know what the rules are, Buck did it to himself.

IF Buck were let back in, and screwed up again, YOU would get banned right along with him.
One hour, five days, or perm. Whatever ban Buck earns, you get the same. Just because he fucked up again.
If the answer is no, then you'll understand why I haven't spoken up for Buck.
I like Buck, and I consider him a friend. However, he DID do this to himself. I hope Buck straightens himself up, and can get on with life. I hope he can beat the demons he's struggling with. I've offered my help to him, and that offer is still open. But as far as the server goes, he's proven that his issues can manifest themselves here, and honestly, we don't need that.
If, in time, he gets better, maybe he can be let back in. Until then..... | |

I have severe mental health issues, but this game is like medication to me, I can forget and just focus on the moment. There is a reason why I hang out in the basement because I'm comfortable there. What I don't do is take out my aggressions on my own team. Sometimes I try to be as annoying as possible to the enemy team, but that's just gameplay. | |

When you post bail, you forfeit the money if they don't show for court...you don't have to serve their sentence, but I get your meaning. How about I pledge a $100 donation to the server if he screws up?
As to your second point, how will we know when he is "better" and deserving of another chance?
I was not in game with him when he did these offensive acts. Maybe he should only get to play when I'm on because he behaves when I'm around. So not having experienced his bad behavior, I have never challenged drippy on his decision. Most of my support for Buck is simply good-natured humor and you will note I have never argued any admin's decision on such things.

I was basically asking if you had enough faith in him to risk losing your privilege to play here. Personally, I don't. At least, not right now. His issues, what I know of them, will take a long time to overcome.
At this point, he can't just stay quiet a month, and come back and "boo hoo" his way back in. Trying to "sneak in the back door"(ie: get another ID) might work for a minute, but will reflect very badly on him in the long run.
He really needs to get the help he needs, get on(and stay on) the meds he needs, and work through what he needs to work through.
In time, he may be allowed back. As for how we will know? Let's just say I'm confident we will know, and leave it at that.
BTW- I wasn't on either, but I heard from people who were. It wasn't just a "quick annoy a few people then stop" thing... it went on for a while, despite being told repeatedly that "dude, you know better!". Multiple reports were filed on him, from several different people... including some who LIKE him. Drippy- finally watched, and knowing Buck's record, issued the perm right there on the spot.
And there was much rejoicing. <little flags wave>
