Instead of switching to spec or leaving the server to try to get on the team you want to be on?

Who are you calling out? *grabs popcorn*

I hate the intentional gaming of the system to get on a specific team btw. Lots of decent players do it unfortunately. Few autoteam at all and fewer still do it without waiting.

I auto assign every round. Once I start playing for a team, I hate switching(except to Spec someone, that is).

Am I the only one who auto-teams every game (well, I always select RED at the beginning of a round, but auto when a match is in progress) and stays there? Does Drippy have a record of who switches teams the most?

some people don't want to face a challenge.

When a round ends and new game starts, I'm usually first player to pick a team (I live close to the server so I maintain a pretty regular ping of <10). To give an idea, I usually join when the counter is still at 57-58 seconds of pre-match (and ALWAYS get that first grenade bag)

I watch guys hold back all the time and wait to see how the teams start to develop before they choose. And I'm not just saying a few seconds, I mean when the countdown is closer to ~10 seconds.

If I jump in during a match that's underway, I always choose auto-assign and just deal with the situation. No need to be sweaty about picking "the winning team". Just join, jump in, and start killing shit. It's more fun that way :D

This all-in.

What really grinds my cogs: to have a match where the server-determined quality is beyond terrible, all the statwhores are on the winning team, all the folks with bad scores are stuck on the losing team (because they can't switch to the winning team even if they wanted to), every statwhore gloating how fuckin' great they are and that everyone on the losing team needs to go kill themselves irl, and any super regulars that join the server all leave because they can't play with the winners.

I'll auto assign then watch as the teams pan out...if I feel it's an uneven match I will !switch and wait for the server to figure it out

Pretty much, this. I don't care when I join a game.... or who is on. I Auto-Assign. If I want to talk to someone on the enemy team, I use the !msg function.

I won't lie, there are times I would like to play with someone in particular(Fred, Linky, Med, etc).... but if the balancer says no... I'm okay with it. I really don't care if the team is winning or losing if I join mid-match... because I might need to go spec on a moments notice anyway. But I will play for the team I'm placed on, and if I have to switch to Spec, try to get back on the same team I left.

I auto-assign you little bitch. More often than not I have fewer players.

You're pretty active on a forum when you "retired" but came back without asking my permission.

We all know who your daddy is, who matts daddy is, the list goes on.

I'm going to start compiling a list of bitch boys and then they can explain themselves here. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time that perhaps it was just an error in judgement - a momentary display of weakness - and perhaps now they may have seen this thread and realized the error of their ways.

I usually am one of the first to auto-join. I’m starting to rethink this method though. I feel like auto-balance has wayyyy to much confidence in me as I’ve gotten the short stick quite a bit. Thinking of auto-assign closer to the start of the round to see how that fairs. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I join first - and not saying I always get to because there's people that join in way faster than my connection even allows... it's like being Blue Captain, in the end, I know I'm getting the shittiest players.

I know how you feel, man. What the balancer doesn't take into account, is which role one is going to play in any given round.

Some rounds, I prefer to go O(which I either suck at in a main role, or do better in a supporting role), or play D.... in which I usually do pretty well.

But the Balancer doesn't know which role I'm going to play when I first join a team and hit "Auto-Assign".
