| Why not just stay on the team you are assigned to at the start of the match? | |

Maybe it's the time of day that I play that affects the quality of the games, I don't know. But about 75% of the matches I join stack the exact same way: a known good anchor innocuously picks a team right away, then 2-3 well-known ass-kickers hang in spec until they can join the same team. (Yeah, yeah, this isn't news, I know.) It wouldn't even be a thing, if not for it happening so damn often.
And I actually prefer the underdog-looking team. I want the challenge - but not a Spartans vs The Mighty Ducks kind of challenge. Especially not virtually every game. So if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Better than being the white knight who auto-assigns at start and switches to the losing team to balance when nobody else will. Shit gets old.

You know, the black knight was a bad-ass..... don't know why everyone uses the white knight as an example of being good...

Playing against stacked teams is how you get better at the game. You should be happy to be able to play against people that are better than you at the game than you are, because you can learn from them. Stop making excuses.

Kind of a jerk response. First off, no veteran TFCer comes to this server to improve their skills. This isn’t the place to hone your skills. People come here to have fun and the strong community. Just so happens, some people don’t like getting blown out in a game because of stacking teams. Weird right?

It's a matter of perspective. How about the fact that 2fort is a 5v5 map and there's 13v13 shit going on most evenings? That makes it significantly harder to complete objectives.

This is exactly the level of comprehension you'd expect from someone walking into a comment thread with the sole intention of being argumentative.

Personally, I love when I join in and puts me on the opposite team of someone like brah or Moreno. I know the heat is coming and I have to be bringing my A game.
Hell, I even like playing D against guys who play relentless offense like Olinkapo (triple pipe det launch across battlements to bring the MIRV's) or even when he plays O engineer. I know there's going to be constant chaos, and it keeps me sharp.
I like playing D against a lot of folks...but when I see a decently coordinated Offense on one team....ooooh it makes me tingle
Some more notable names: -YO! -med -purg3d -matt -SLICK
Admittedly, playing Offense against a good team of Defense is infinitely more frustrating and tiring, and I need to embrace those challenges more often. But occasionally there's a few back to back rounds of all out war (not just spam, but actual tactics and coordination) that really tickle my buttons and make me remember why I love this game so much.
Note: the above mentioned names are just the ones that stand out...there are many more of you

Moreno the same moreno that got banned for perfect player? l0lz please tell me that scrubs back.
Some more notable names: -YO! - never heard of her -med - champ champ -purg3d - trash -matt - the most opportunistic player in d2f that avoids any challenge, forever my bitch. -SLICK - never heard of her

Gaba, I tried quoting your "this," but it keeps coming out as poop emoji.
Noticing and remembering that I have a history of switching to the losing team, as well as choosing to play against the heavy hitters that clump together in prematch, would show that you've been paying attention. And I wouldn't have brought this up in the first place if I was alone in my observation, but I'm not.
Play a few hours of basketball where one team takes it upon themselves to raise their hoop 50ft, while yours is stuck firmly in place, and see how you'd take being told "Get gud."
"Well I'd just learn to take 60ft shots." This is a pub server, not the Crucible.
This all came about as a reaction to four-hour stretches of team-stacked matches. I stated my intended solution. And as expected, my *response* to the problem gets all the hate, instead of the actual *problem*. Because the problem is acceptable status quo until everyone starts doing it.
