So I’d like an admin to check out unnamed playing around 11:00 PM Central time. He was doing some crazy stuff. One time I had him in the corner, bouncing him and between bounces (I couldn’t even tell that he even landed) he shoots me and we both die. I’m not accusing him, I just want someone to verify it looks clean and he’s just bad ass as a high ping sniper. I’ll know then just to stay hidden in my base when he comes a knocking 😁 | |

There’s a few things that could be happening here.
1) He’s a cheating motherfucker.
2) Due to ping, what YOU see isn’t what HE sees. You bounce him around in YOUR game, but in HIS game he shot you BEFORE you bounced him and the game caught up a second later.

It's this. I spec'd him for a while(more than 1 round) the other night(on a quiet request from someone who will remain nameless). Dude seems completely legit.
I saw nothing shady about his game play.
I'll admit I'm not the best at spotting cheaters, and I'll ask someone else if I see anything potentially shady, to take a look.
I have a feeling this is a second/third/etc account of someone we know, who is top notch, but doesn't want to be recognized, because it will skew the teams if he were.
We have a few "top level" Snipers that play here. | |

I also spec'ed him because he was anticipating where I would pop out with alarming regularity. There were a couple of iffy things I noticed but nothing to really scream wallhack or such. I think he's just a very good ex EU league player slumming at Drippys. | |

I played against him, has great tracking. He's able to 'push' you as scout with it. Don't see that in drippys very often and felt like fatal tracking tbh.
I was suspect one run where I stopped and reversed where I was going and it made absolutely zero sense in a game play atmosphere (if he is at that level) to have dropped down from where he was to throw a grenade to where I previously was 3 seconds prior. I was trying to see if he was walling...
That's when I was like ???? but, another run I circled strafed behind his back and conced back up the spiral and he didn't see me.
Don't know, maybe toggles, maybe not.

That's tree/acorn/dave lister. He doesn't cheat.
You can adjust for the latency difference to a degree using ex_interp.

I've seen high latency be an asset. I think I was oh royston vasey with a ping similar to his and it felt like I could not miss, every shot would register, yet on drippy's I frequently, nearly continuously, get shots that appear to line up but don't register, despite having a good ping. Network corrections and what not. But at the end of the day dave's a really good sniper/player. | |

I thought only spoofer and headshot do that.
From his ping and name history my guess hes some euro leaguer, spain in particular.
I'd rank him fringe top 10 snipers on here that ive seen. Hes not on spoofers level. Id rank him around Gaba, UPSET, Med, Nookie, Baddy level.
I was sniping with him a couple games and was stealing a bunch of shots from him. Definitely better sniper than me, but thats not saying much.

So this is dave lister?
I remember his steamid starting with a 9. Dave lister also would talk. This dude says nothing.
He also used to play soldier quite well and I dont remember him playing hwguy.

I doubt it is Dave unless he’s bouncing back and forth between 2 different steam IDs. This is the same guy GG#4 mentioned in a different thread. So if the verdict is he’s just that good then to the basement I shall dwell 😁 | |

I doubt hes cheating. Though there are few people here capable of detecting high level cheats and i'm definitely not one of them.
Go get your basement/box room or be relegated to the water spiral or learn to air strafe and not be so predictable. | |
