Metal story from yesterday.
I got sent to a death call. We get sent to these calls to release the ambulance and then wait for the ME to arrive. Not a big deal, but super rarely are these suspicious or require a cop.
Anyway, waiting for the ME, he shows up, longer hair, longer beard, tats...I like him already. We're going over things, and because we're out in the middle of nowhere, I told him I'll hang out cos the husband is a little...off. I haven't read into it, but the man spent 20 minutes telling me colloidal silver is the way to treat anything and that he makes his own, etc.
Anyway, Funeral Director shows up to remove the body. He's a guy I had training with. Cleanest cut fucker you've ever seen.
You'd never know he's a closet deathcore fan.
So, I introduce him to the ME and we talk about the case. Then I casually bring up the shows I have coming up, cos I haven't seen him in awhile.
His eyes light up, we're going to the same Megadeth show and we talk about that. I tell him I'm headed to Cleveland in October, and he gets a huge smile on his face "I know where you're going man, holy shit" he says. As busy as he's been, he's stayed up on who's touring in the area.
This dude introduced me to shit like Nekrogoblikon and Rings of Saturn. You'd never suspect.
Anyway, the ME is just standing there, mouth hanging open...he couldn't believe it.
Then he throws up his devil horns and he's like 'holy fuck! I pegged you (Funeral Director) for classical and you (me) for country'.
We spent the next 5 minutes talking metal, now getting introduced to Lorna Shore. Then the Funeral Director's wife 'hate to interrupt, but we should probably work, eh?'

here I thought the Heavy Metal story was going in a different direction...like a "Who dunnit" direction hahahhahaha | |
