It's not much different than the 'group think' that makes the narrow minded claims that 'if it were X, they'd be treated Y'. I'm not asserting that because one subject who was black was found not guilty on similar charges means the system is completely fair, just as I'm sure you wouldn't claim that the system is 100% unfair either.
Further, if the three turds in the Arbury trial are found guilty, that doesn't mean the system is completely just either. It just means in that case they got it right. | |
I'll give you this, the optics aren't on the side of the three guys who stopped Armed Robbery. But Armed Robbery did reach for the guy's gun...

They shouldn't have been pursuing him in the first place. Especially given there was no evidence discovered later that theft occurred.

Admittedly, I think the verdict was the correct one and I recently thought of it this way:
-If Rosenbaum was never there, would the same (or similar) chain of events had happened? Possibly, but maybe unlikely?
-If Rittenhouse was never there, would Rosenbaum have potentially started shit with someone else wielding a weapon and set off a similar/different chain reaction of violence? Possibly? Maybe more likely than the other scenario?
I think Rosenbaum being the aggressor is the key action in this whole case. I just don't understand why people would want to go after a guy with a rifle?
At the end of the day I can't help but feel that "if the adults did their fucking jobs and kept the city in order, maybe the civilians wouldn't have to take things into their own hands"

I watched the defense questioning the dude who got his bicep vaporized and they owned him so badly it was hard to watch, especially, you know, the still frame in the video where he has a glock (27?) aimed right at kyle’s baby face and the defense was all like so did you or did you not point your pew pew cannon at LARP boy’s head. Pretty much a mic drop moment.
That dude’s mistake was being slow on the trigger, “your honor I swear I didn’t know exactly what was going on I thought he was an active shooter.” Acquittal mode activated.
