Enemy has the flag... Goes into their own respawn to resupply for the next run... Can I camp the exit killing anything that walks out?
Not looking for cheap kills.. But fuck a flag carrier..
I guess the argument could be.. When was the last time a flag was returned from the enemy respawn.. But fuck an unimpeded cap
Is a flag carrier in main spawn the same as an sg in front of spawn? 🤔

Sounds to me like you have a ligament spawn-hugger.

Technically, I do not think you can attack a newly spawned player just because a flag holder is in a respawn. But as you would be expecting the flag runner to come out, I think leniency on the rules would be understandable; but that’s just me.

Anyone in the main Respawn who is holding the flag is considered "In Play", freshly spawned or not.

However, I'd be careful to try and only target said flag carrier, although the term "shit happens" can be applied here.

Also, just saying "I thought the guy with the flag was in there!" is NOT an excuse to spam the exit. I'd say you would pretty much have to chase the player in, or at least see them run in. You could still cop a ban, depending on what an Admin on duty might have seen, but if you're legit waiting for a flag runner... Drippy- would likely overturn that ban when you point that out and he looks into it.

However, to discourage BS claims of such, you claim that and are lying about it.... the ban should be doubled.

For flag holders, I look at the context. Holding a flag in spawn is an occasional thing. I rarely see it happen twice in one game. Plus, the longer they hide in spawn, the more they're screwing the next guy waiting for the flag. What would happen if you were to run in and kill the flag-holder in spawn? Somebody else who's not a wuss will cap the flag. Way I see it, it's best to keep them alive and scared in their respawn, screwing over their team.

Compare that to spawn campers. They exist to frustrate you and guard their pristine kill-death ratio. For that I say, spam the spawn and make them and the rest of their team feel the pain. They're Gomer Pyle with a donut in their cargo pocket and their team is the rest of the platoon doing push-ups to pay for it.

For what it's worth.. I grab a flag I hit respawn to replenish... But I expect the enemy to be there with baited breath

Anyone who runs into spawn, flag holder or not, is in play. I guess if they had a flag it would be much easier to know the person exiting is indeed that person.

Say you chase an engie in. A different engie comes out. Hard to tell who is who. Holding a flag its clear.

A practical reason for camping spawn a bit is to get more health, because the other team may try to stop the flag carrier on the battlements, and such standoff can take a while. And a skirmish may envelop outside or even finish in due time, allowing the flag carrier to proceed to the capture point more evasively. A strategic philosophy of different type is to assess a given health scenario where both potential risk and opportunity exist. Our assessments may be inconclusive yet we're bouncing around and chasing our tail deciding what the next decision will be. :^)
