So i gotta ask is this on for a select few of players me being one of them? I ask because LG had emp'd main killed 3 of us in spawn and did not get slayed, then shortly after throw a mirv and got me running out and also did not get slayed. If i do this I get auto slayed. Also when players like kilo, matt and few others play from main/sniper deck and shoting rockets or shotty at me but as soon as i kill them if they are anywhere near spawn i get slayed. This also happens if i kill the demo piping from the ramp room/supply entrance; further more if there is a sg there same thing I get auto killed for taken it out. Tweak it or remove it. Demo is ment to move hurds when flags are up top, or if people wanna play near spawn and turtle for health. I dont deliberately toss them at spawn but if i know people are around the corner ex: demo/solly waiting for me i toss 1. if not i run and toss it into ramp. Thanks, hope others see the frustration of this especially when it voids a cap because of it. | |

some players like to hug spawn, not in it per se, but just near it. near enough so that when you try to kill the hugger, a freshie appears, and you get slayed/ rev damage/ spawn delay from hurting the spawned.
so cheers to the players that have figured out how to game the system, and bait others to engage in front of the spawn door. | |

Just curious - the buff that a player receives, can you talk me through the process? For example:
-Spawn = trigger buff
-Exit spawn (protected area), buff lasts for 3 seconds upon exit protected zone UNLESS a weapon is fired? Otherwise, after 3 seconds, spawn buff is gone and player is considered to be "engaged"?
or
-Exit spawn (protected area), buff lasts only within a limited area (10 foot radius, for example) of extra mapped zone that's defined inside the plugin?
or
Is it some combination of both?

I do this from time to time. It's a tactic that works great most of the time and I can rack up the kills pretty fast if enemy team is pushing. The bonus of this strat is the enemy team turns there attention towards YOU instead of the flag, thus ignoring the flag and slowing the enemy team down. A good player can ignore the spawn huggers and continue on going for the flag (unless flag in upper spiral/box room of course)
You don't have to throw nades toward spawn(risk/reward) the choice is up to you! :-)
The one person I absolutely love baiting is Fred tbh. One round I killed Fred almost 30 times and he failed to kill me a single time after going for me the whole round. Imagine spending 30 minutes trying to kill someone and failing. It's really satisfying. lol | |
