Yeah, it did occur to me. Unfortunately, I know that's a symptom of your form of government - pack everything into one bill. Then, you can vilify your opponent for voting for the same bill you did, except point out the negative elements of that bill.

I've got an uncle who killed an elderly pedestrian while driving drunk. He was a legal immigrant (mom side from Azores, Portugal).
I met a woman in AA who spent 11 years in jail for a drunk driving fatality, killed a teenage girl.
I've driven drunk too. Never got an OUI, but one time I'd gotten pulled over after having had a pint of whisky. Didn't feel drunk enough and had to get another pint. I was shitting my pants thinking I had an OUI but it was cuz my headlight was out, and I just kinda played it cool and he apparently didnt' suspect anything, or he was drunk too. | |

It also gave those same Republicans everything they demanded.... yet they balked at it.
All because Commander Cheeto said to do so.
They demanded that "foreign Aid" be tied to "Border Security".... and it was. Both for Ukraine and Israel. They were all for it just hours before they said they wouldn't support it. Apparently, it was "all good" until Trump said, "No.... then I won't have a platform to run on." | |

I will say that there are parts of the bill that I disagree with. But there are also "long term" things to keep in mind.
While the bill sends aid (weapons and ammo) to Israel, it also sends humanitarian aid to the innocent Palestinians caught up in that mess.
Ukraine is a different story. One which I will discuss later on. I don't want to "taint" BABL's reasoning for disliking the bill. | |
