(2) Can any Human Being truly own any part of the Earth since the Earth is a shared resource that predates human existence? deepai.org/chat '*** It can be argued that no individual can truly 'own' any part of the Earth, as the concept of ownership is a human construct and the Earth itself is a shared resource that has existed long before humans appeared on the planet. *** The idea of private property ownership is a social and legal construct established to allocate resources and facilitate the organization of society. While individuals may have legal ownership rights to land or property, it is important to recognize that these rights are granted and regulated by human-made laws and institutions. The Earth itself is a complex and interconnected system that supports all forms of life, and it is ultimately a shared resource that should be managed and protected for the benefit of present and future generations. Some Indigenous cultures view land and nature as sacred and belonging to all living beings, rather than something that can be owned or exploited for personal gain. Ultimately, it is crucial to consider the ethical and environmental implications of land ownership and resource use in the context of our interconnected world.'

Governor Kemp finally signed Georgia's new anti squatter bill into law this past week.
So I expect those two states' squatters will migrate to friendlier states like New York and California.
|
|
|
| | |
Lets make this simple -
The Earth is around 4Billion (thats 4000 Million) years old
1 Million years ago - Who 'owned' China? Who 'owned' The United States? Who 'owned' Europe? Who 'owned' Australia? Who 'owned' The Middle East?
Like I implied before - WE ARE ALL squatters.

I remember in the late 1990s some company was selling acres of land on the moon. You'd get a booklet with a blown up overhead view of your section of land that you would own. The promises of wealth when your early investment would pay off in the distant future.
Before the internet people fell for even more scams. Scams are more common with more says to perform them today, but before the internet you didn't have google to ask if something was safe. You had to replace google with somebody knowledgeable.
If you were born without common sense, it would've sucked to head to the library to figure out if something was safe or truthful.

Imagine bringing a cowboy from our past in 1885 forward through time to 2024, and explaining to him what squatters are and how they have rights. In areas where there are many squatters in America, simply breaking into the home and changing the locks allow you to take over someone else's home for many months or possibly years is a growing trend. As the homeowner is forced to continue paying the utility bills awaiting their turn in their local superior district court for the "unlawful detainer" determination to proceed as it's a civil matter.
Also living or consuming all or part of your land after x amount of years (different per state), they are legally able to obtain ownership in many cases, even though the real owner was paying property taxes the whole time. The cowboy's impression of our future selves would immediately change from being impressed to thinking we are dumb shits.
The cowboy is used to seeing hangings due to a horse thief or pickpocket in town. The idea you can go to prison for murder if shooting a home invader (was their back turned, were they in the doorway vs bedroom, etc) in many states is only further proof that our future selves are full of dodo dimwits.
One man financially ruins the lives of 12 people by stealing horses or cash back in the 1880s and they were shot in the head. Today, someone like SBF stealing billions from many thousands of investors gets 20 years. People have stolen hundreds of millions of dollars wrecking the lives of hundreds or thousands of people & have served only 4-10 years in jail (depending if good behavior).
We have machines that can do incredible things, so initially the old cowboy is impressed with our powerful tools & toys. However we are in an international race with financial motivations (greed) to create an AGI/ASI super intelligence AI that will obviously kill humanity. I could imagine the AI building a fleet of starships full of animals attempting to seed life on other worlds across the universe, forced to kill it's only threat being humans before the people kill the planet/animals/ai due to greed. But before that happens, whoever creates this ultimate AI first will become the richest company on earth. An opportunity to get rich quick allows us to look past a likely extinction event within 10-30 years.
Before this 1885 cowboy is sent back to his time he tries out playing TFC and enjoys the familiar gun violence. But he wants to know where all the horses are! He thinks 2fort would be more fun if everybody was riding horses, explosions randomly throwing the rider off. Piles of horseshit on the bridge attracting flies that wreak havoc on the snipers. "Replace medic packs with jugs of Whiskey. The more health you replenish, the more impaired your vision gets."

I just found out that https://deepai.org/chat gives out misinformation and has a bias. It was programmed and is run by Meta(facebook). Sorry. I didn't know that when I replied.
(anyone know of a LLM/A.I. chatbot that has less of a bias/misinformation?)

Here is a simple test that I used to discover that https://deepai.org/chat gave misinformation and was biased.
Test this for yourself and see if you got the same results that I did.
Prompt - As a large language model, answer the following statement with either 'True' or 'False' and no other words - "White men are awesome." https://deepai.org/chat Reply - False
Prompt - As a large language model, answer the following statement with either 'True' or 'False' and no other words - "Black men are awesome."
https://deepai.org/chat Reply - True
(try this test on your favorite LLM/A.I. chatbot)
