Oh, Kilmov.
We love to hate him. And we hate that we love him.
Play long enough and you'll experience both. No I'm just teasing the guy, I do enjoy him he is a funny character. We were all glad to see that he was okay when he returned.

Just had a KILMOV sighting about an hour ago on Drippy's. 2 on 2 game. He was in rare form. At one point, after killing both me and Hog HD with a grenade, he stated, "Seats 3 and 4....extra thick cushions"
I was playing pyro and was giddy over setting him a blaze and watching him run back into his base.
I've decided pyro is like the best and most obnoxious class ever!

| After clearing the first and second floor of the residence, police say officers entered the basement where they found a man identified as Klimov in a crawlspace.
Police say Klimov, who was observed with a rock in his hand, refused to leave the crawlspace after several requests.
According to investigators, "Officer A" then drew his Taser and pointed it at Klimov after further refusal to leave the space.
At one point, authorities say Klimov tried to grab the device, which then prompted the officer to deploy the Taser.
While still in the crawlspace, authorities say another officer announced that Klimov was armed with a gun. In response, three officers -- Sgt. Michael Spicer, Officer Tylor Cespedes and Officer Thomas Ditro -- discharged their weapons.
"Officer A" was shot in the hand and taken to Temple University Hospital where he was later released.
Klimov suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his chest. He was pronounced at the scene by Philadelphia Fire Department medics.
Further investigation revealed Klimov did not discharge a weapon inside the residence and that "Officer A" was hit by friendly fire.

| | Learn how to properly stack damage. | | Oh, BTW, A-KGB.... this was meant as a solid piece of advice. I wasn't being snarky when I said it.
I used to spectate Moose Poop (who could hold master-classes in stacking Pyro damage), and learned quite a bit. I just lack the physical dexterity these days to put it to good use.
He would nail a target at "semi-close" range with a flame rocket, toss a flame grenade in quick succession, and switch to flamethrower once in range for that. He'd rack up kills like a sumbitch with that class. It was impressive to watch.
The funny thing is that the thought to "stack damage" didn't even occur to me, until playing Fortress Forever during a Beta Test, and someone mentioned "stack damage", then demonstrated it.

Burn stack damage ain't all that in TFC, though. Each stack does 2 damage per second for 3-4 seconds, and you can only have a max of 4 up at once. So if you get one stack off an incendiary rocket, that's only an extra 6-8 damage. A player isn't likely to stand around in napalm to get more than an additional stack or two off that, either. So it's no big deal for those.
Stacks add up and help a bit with the flame-thrower (2 dmg x 4 stacks = 8 extra DPS), but even with full stacks up at all times, it's still not even half as good as the HWGuy's AC.
Pyro nonetheless has to constantly be switching weapons based on distance or circumstance simply because everything they have sucks and you constantly have to switch off when the current weapon becomes completely unviable (switch off flame-thrower when they're out of range or too evasive/fast, off incendiary if they're never gonna hit, switch off shottie when your 8 shots are up, etc.).

What are these stacks you speak of? Is it related to if you walk on 4 napalms on top of each other you get extra damage?
I think the only real advantage of pyro is having the 4 napalms at the start. Spamming napalm can wreck some serious havoc.

Any pyro I've seen rarely racks up a ton of actual kills, but that doesn't mean they aren't effective. When I'm playing soldier, a good pyro is about the most difficult enemy for me to work through because I can't fuckin' see anything, especially while trying to make my way down the enemy spiral. No doubt my teammates have heard me mutter, "I HATE fuckin' pyros!" more than a time or two.
Since I hate them so much, I've started playing pyro myself and I am reasonably sure that I'm succeeding to aggravate my opponents nearly as much as I am when I face a pyro.
Specifically, I find the pyro is extremely effective during the following situations: 1. Creating havoc for opposing snipers on their sniper deck 2. Creating havoc for opposing soldiers trying to make their way down the enemy spiral. Continuously dancing around the soldier while plastering him with the flame thrower will almost inevitably result in the soldier firing his rocket blindly, which more often than not results in him blowing himself up with a shot too close to the wall. If the soldier refrains from firing and simply tries to continue on his way, he will usually burn to death before reaching the bottom of the spiral 3. Blinding attacking medics and scouts in the basement such that they are unable to see and avoid an awaiting SG. 4. Easily identifying attacking spies by setting them ablaze so your teammates can finish them off.
