It's looking like the Covid thing was a ruse to get Biden out of the White House. Biden not in the White House means no need to keep records of guests. I'm willing to bet that Barak Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Schmuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi all staged an intervention at Biden's house in Delaware. Sorry, but this can't be coincidental at this point: Biden's bad debate performance, Democrats starting to tell him to step down, the damage control with the interview that made things worse, more Democrats wanting him to step down, then the "Biden has Covid" but doesn't wear a mask, and now he's finally out.

Also, a line from Return of the Jedi plays a VERY important role with this series: "You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view." And also something Palpatine said to Anakin in Revenge of the Sith: "Good is a point of view." Which leads to a "real world" idiom that says, "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter."
I think the Acolyte overshot the runway with moral relativism. The deaths that occurred that one night just felt goofy to me. They were to help sell the impression that you-know-who are the bad guys.

Putting it another way... Imagine a fictional story about some homeless kid robbing a convenience store with a toy gun. The owner freaks out and grabs his own gun, only to fumble with it and accidently shoot himself and the store clerk. Not only that, but there were 30 elderly people in there as well who witnessed the attempted robbery and had simultaneous fatal heart attacks. The paramedics that ran in slipped and broke their necks on some water that had been spilled during the chaos.

Now, imagine that story is trying to say that the homeless, would-be robber with a fake gun is just as bad as Ted Bundy. That's what The Acolyte felt like.

One of the witches performed some "Dark Side" ritual [...]
Just because she's the only black witch doesn't mean everything she does is a "dark side" ritual. I mean jeez.

The Jedi "asked" to see the children (the only two there), and "asked" to test them (as we saw Anakin do in Phantom Menace) to see if they were Force Sensitive. It was implied that the Jedi were not going to take "no" for an answer.
I did get a chuckle out of Indara saying they have a "right" to test them "with [the mothers'] permission, of course." Well, which is it?

Just go into it with an open mind, forget all the BS you heard from people whose intent is to trigger your emotions and make you hate something before you've even seen it.
The bar I've set for Disney is "Does it seem like the show hates my guts?" I follow a number of writer-critics on Youtube and they make great critiques that I wouldn't have come up with on my own. But that doesn't make me hate a show before I've seen it. I can look past bad writing if I don't feel like the writers of a show despise their audience. A couple examples, for contrast:

• She-Hulk: Dogshit show written by mean, talentless hacks who insert their sad selves into the characters and shit on the MCU and their audience.

• Ms. Marvel: Didn't care for it, but it's also not for me. There were a few woke-ish elements that didn't really bother me. But you know what? The show was nice. Iman Vellani was simply endearing. Kamala's family was likable and tight-knit. You're taken around the world and even back in time to a pseudo-accurate real-world historical event. The show had a culture/identity that wasn't just neofeminism on steroids.

What they did with the 'thread' twin conception was basically fuck with the prophecy of the Chosen One. I'm sure the point will be that Plagueis watched the witches and learned of this from them, but it's shitty if they do that.
I never read anything that claimed the lesbian witches scissored, fucked, got nekkid, or any of it. No claim was made about any fucking, which brings me back to the earlier point of using the thread/force to conceive a child. It simply makes the Chosen One not...unique, at this point. They're heading it off, IMO, by introducing Plagueis at the end, witnessing the ritual, while he's skulking in a cave like some rat instead of the powerful individual he really was under Tenebrous' tutelage.
Either a woman did it first or a woman did it better. First: The witches in The Acolyte, The Timeless Child (Doctor Who). Better: She-Hulk, Rey.

It honestly only bothers me because it's a trend and often feels shoehorned rather than organic.

The bitch about it is first wasn't the Acolyte witches, it was the Night Sisters on Dathomir, which they then brought to live action in Acolyte. And, despite the space whales, although, lets face it, we've seen weirder shit and it followed Rebels, they gave a purely original back story while not shitting on the lore. First and brilliant.

Better...she hulk and rey. Again, no. Better was Phasma, that they did nothing with. Better was Scarlet Witch in Multiverse of Madness...she was fucking awesome. Hell, the female variant of Loki was pretty fucking cool as well. None of that felt shoehorned...it was just good story telling.

They need to break from DEI and just get back to writing solid material...it's not as if they don't have a billion ideas on paper from the last 80 years that they could pull from.

By "better" I meant that Rey was a Mary Sue who instantly got good with the Force after having no training. She was better than Luke was at the beginning of his journey. Not better as in a better character. Same for She-Hulk being better, skillwise, than Bruce Banner. (Did I not just shit on the show in my previous comment? haha)

It looks like the Secret Service did allow the shooter to take his shot at Trump after all.

What I find funny is the man who is so vain that he needs to cover his bald spot with a combover is parading around with a patch over his papercut that was made for Ross Perot.

Based upon Senator Josh Hawley's account of what secret service whistleblowers have told him, the FEMALE lead agent was known by the Trump campaign prior to the Butler rally to be inexperienced, ineffectual, and incompetent.

I'm wondering if that lead agent is the one in the video famously being shown unable to holster her weapon.

Update: That dwarf-sized female agent that couldn't holster her weapon WAS the leader of the secret service detail. God help anyone under secret service protection.
