I think many Americans simply fear the continuation of an increasingly insane liberal hegemony, the rest watch main stream media.
I did not want Trump but I am more terrified about our involvement in Ukraine, supporting a (dying) country with no strategic value launch missiles on the territory of a nuclear power.
Only thing dumber than voting for Trump is voting for that.

Only thing dumber than voting for Trump is voting for that. | | You’re more terrified of a coalition of nations attempting to protect the notion of sovereign countries, than a candidate that has only been endorsed by 4 of 44 of their previously chosen, hand picked cabinet members?

^^^ My god, you are one stubborn bastard. We have provided mountains of analysis provided by experts in geopolitical history.
Tell me, do you start movies at the third act? Or just international conflicts?

My views shaped in large part by professor mearsheimer.
I would rather have a moderate foreign policy.

I appreciate candidates that have vision and ideals.
But I’d rather pragmatic reality for foreign policy.
The reality is Ukraine will never regain Donbas or Crimea without direct U.S. involvement.
Direct US involvement equals 🟰 ☢️
Expanding NATO eastward provoked this conflict just like USSR militarizing Cuba provoked the Cuban missile crisis.
I believe we would have used nuclear weapons again, on a sovereign country (Cuba).
The relatively pitiful amounts of aid given to Ukraine, edit by Europe, relative to the U.S., suggests they don’t independently view this as an existential conflict. Coalition of the moderately willing.
Mainstream media makes it seem Ukraine is winning.
Reading Al Jazeera, ap news, economist, and chatting with our Russian friend Slesar makes clear Putin is very much acting in Russia’s legitimate interests.
Wish we had similar.
Yes I believe Putin is a despot.
I also think he’s the oligarch who most wanted connection with the west as evidenced by his request to join nato.

^ changing my mind is possible. I thought we were doing the right thing up until around the time France and Britain started providing storm shadow cruise missiles.
