With that done, yes indeed, generic metal thread ftw. My personal album of 2013 would have been Stone Sour's rather superb two-album concept work, The House of Gold and Bones. Now, I'll appreciate some will argue Stone Sour are heavy rock, and not metal - and I'll take that - I'd say they were on the boundary between the two. Either way, there's no questioning how superb the two albums are.
If I've got to pick the best songs... it's a struggle. The albums are that good. Come on........ How can you write about metal, and NOT include Doro? I am friends with her drummer(not a joke). I have her autograph tattoo'd on my arm. Last time I met her and the band, we got to party with them all after a show. She has also called me "her friend".
Doubt me? Cool.

That is pretty badass, I don't doubt you at all. She is a legend.
I haven't written much about her because I usually focus more on the death/black metal side of things. But I like all forms of metal, and music for the matter.
Also, I watched LG's video and laughed, not offensive at all. Just stereotypes. | |
