While it's not "More Random Thoughts From A Diseased Mind", I have been published again. This time, in part of an anthology series of stories based on a single picture.

I have a short story in "Evidence of Autumn". The picture on the cover is what each author used as their setting and inspiration. My story is a huge deviation from my previous writings. It's not humour, wrestling, or sci-fi.

Anna Renault, a local(to me) author set this series in motion to help promote independent writers. I joined for this 5th book in the series. I am also signed on for the next two. It is not available as an eBook, however.

Here is a link to the publisher's website:

A portion of the royalties goes to Cancer Support Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for non-medical expenses and advocacy assistance to cancer patients in Maryland. The CSF has no paid staff and 90% of the money raised goes to people with cancer... the other 10% pays for website, printing and phone expenses.

Honestly, I'm not sure. My first book(Random Thoughts) was available as an ebook for a while, but when I checked it last week, the ebook option was gone. Even from the publisher's site. I'm wondering if ebooks haven't done as well as publishers had thought they would, and the concept is going away. FWIW, that makes little sense, because it's pure profit from their standpoint. Just keep the file available somewhere, and downloadable with a few clicks.

Evidence of Autumn is a bit on the pricy side. I'll admit I didn't check the other volumes of the series to see what the pricing was before I jumped in.

So far, I only see it listed on Amazon's main site, aside from their subsidiary(CreateSpace). Barnes & Nobel doesn't have it. Anna holds "events"(for lack of a better term) a few times a month.... so I'll try to remember to ask her at the next one.

A lot has changed in my life this year... and even my writing has taken a whole different route. I'm fine with it all, though... as I think I can only get better. Being unemployed and struggling has given me lots of time for reflection, and writing has always been a bit of an outlet for me. This opportunity has presented itself for a reason.... and I'm going to run with it.

I haven't seen the other stories in the book, but I'm really proud of the one I wrote for it.

Time to get cracking on number 7.
