I have always loved music and some of it strange. What have you liked in the past that may be strange now. I'm not talking about Pink Floyd or such, I mean weird. Is there a disco song you embarrassingly love? Or a stupid love song that is your guilty pleasure?
One of my favorite New Wave songs is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eA4pXV2Jsw What are yours?

I was all about rage against the machine (RATM) in high school. But I grew up in the 90's when hip hop was at its finest as well. I wish Iron Maiden got more play on the rock station here in Orlando, suppose I could say the same for Gangstarr, rock and rap, yeah thats me. As far as weird.....? I used to jam out Iced Earth when I was in the navy, saw those guys live. Oh and I really like Hawaiian music too :)

I've never heard that song in the OP, but I'm liking it. Though, the intro was so long, I was starting to think it was an instrumental.... then 20 minutes in, this guy starts singing. ;)

Back in the 80s, I didn't have "spare" cash for magazines, except wrestling ones... still wish I had that collection, but I digress.

Music was always a passion of mine, but I was limited in exposure to what was on MTV at the time. The "New Wave" stuff was fairly limited in exposure... I was into Split Enz, A Flock of Seaguls, the Buggles, the Cure, that kind of thing, but didn't see much of anything else.

Don't get me wrong, I also enjoyed(and still do) many genres of music. Rock(soft to hard), Metal, Folk(of which there are many sub-genres), "hippy" music, Hell, even some Classical.

I am absolutely HOOKED on 80s music, though. Those were my "teenage" years. To be finding "new"(to me) music from that era is absolutely AWESOME! Keep this shit coming, guys! This stuff is like a drug. I just wish we still had stuff like Naptster/Grogster these days.

Yeah, I know... torrents are "a thing"... but a great way to catch a virus, too. No thanks. Plus, no matter how safe you play it, you can still be tracked.

Earlyish 80's, digging Motley Crue and just finding bands like Venom and Slayer. Then one day, a friend of mine popped in with this cassette...

30 years later, cassette was destroyed, but then I found it on mp3.

I was driving through upstate New York (Keene) over the weekend and there was a massive fire at a grocery store. We were stopped right near it so I rolled down my windows and blared Bloodhound Gang's song Fire Water Burn during the chaos.
What an ass.
