Thanks for the ref on the BloodhoundGang. I checked em out. I'd actually heard some of it before, but no time recently, I think. Anyway, I'm a big fan of The Offspring and these guys almost get there.

I was driving through upstate New York (Keene) over the weekend and there was a massive fire at a grocery store. We were stopped right near it so I rolled down my windows and blared Bloodhound Gang's song Fire Water Burn during the chaos.
What an ass.
Isn't Keene in New Hampshire?

Haha, yes indeed it is. Keene NH is south western NH, near Vermont. Not much to do there...unless you go to Brattleboro VT and walk around naked, because it's legal to do so there. (hippies everywhere).
I took a vacation in the Adirondack mountains of NY and we were driving back when the traffic stopped. There was smoke everywhere. Never heard of Keene NY myself but it exists.
Anyways, not to derail the thread. I just thought it was ironic that you guys were talking about Bloodhound Gang when I literally just listened to them for the first time in like 15 years.

Ps: more people need to visit the Adirondack area in NY. Truly breathtaking in winter.

Uh Keene, NH is a college town.

You know what happens in college towns? Drinking. Drinking and smashing all that college pussy.

There is a really cool craft beer store there. Zach is the man there. If you ever in town and want some hard to come by beer, that is your place.

Was up there last March for a concert at the Colonial Theatre.

Any hardcore song and screamo song makes me feel silly. I was apparently a rage-a-holic back then and while I still listen to it occasionally I feel silly when doing so and listen to it quietly with my windows rolled up, sweating in a way that masks the tears flowing down my cheeks.

Bloodhound gang since it has been mentioned is another silly band that I tried listening to a few weeks ago and was like wtf?

Oh and Rammstein. Like wtf is du hast me shufrar?

Limp Bizkit, DMX. Dude just barks and grunts and doesn't pay taxes.

GG#4, Providence has a pretty awesome music scene. I'll be down at Dusk in a few weeks. I love that place, great for seeing music.
Fuck Fete, though.

I used to work near Dusk. Right near fantasies.

I like Fete. Theres an arcade bar attached so if some of the opening acts suck you walk right over and play pinball and arcade games.

The Strand (Lupos) was pretty chill. Was there a few weeks ago.

EDIT: There was a dude doing live art at the show as well. Was very talented. Sp0t might appreciate his work.

Fete is okay, but the security can be brutal. The neighborhood isn't the best either. The barcade next door is pretty sweet. Haven't been in a year or so but I know they keep updating it. Shelter Arcade I believe it's called?
I used to love Lupos. And the Met Cafe, AS220, and this place called The Living Room.
A company I used to work for wrote Lupos insurance policy.. I remember seeing a claim of some idiot girl jumping off of the balcony at Lupos during a Killswitch Engage set. She wanted to get caught and crowdsurf.. Except she landed on the ground and broke a few bones. Idiot..
Right now, though, Dusk is my favorite for underground music.

Edit: how could I forget Club Hell? Formerly called Babyhead. No idea what it's called now. Last time I went there, I saw a death metal band (Nile) and they were clearing the metal people out and moving the fetish night people in. Fuckin weird place.

That's weird about Fete security. When I saw Twiddle there over the summer last year we were all outside on the patio openly smoking, security came out, looked at us and just walked back in. My friends friend runs events over there and we sometimes get added to the guest list so theres a benefit to that. And yeah Shelter Arcade.

I dig the Met. Saw Bayside there over the winter. Nice open environment. That's the bucket though. Living rooms been closed for a while.

That's nuts, the balcony at Lupos (The Strand now) is pretty high up there. Shes lucky she didn't die. My girlfriend went to a Norma Jean concert there and told me a story of how a friend of hers entered the pit and got all his front teeth kicked out, I cringe everytime I think of that story.

A guy at my work has invited me to see his band at Dusk a few times. I've always passed though. Lawyer who plays in a punk band inspired by the music of The Cure, lol. Just sounds so wrong.
