If you think about it, what major sites are out there that really let you discuss counterpoints to The Narrative™️?
Facebook, Threads and Instagram will ban the shit out of you if you rise above the squelch with counternarrative opinions.
By "squelch" I mean if what you say has any reach. That's the facade. You can actually get away with saying a whole bunch of stuff on social media sites. But when you grow big enough for your words to have an actual impact and change some minds, that's when they come for you.
Even Twitter, which has made huge strides since Elon took over, will shadowban you till the end of time if are out of line about Israel.

If we were discussing these topics on major sites out there, people would be pushing back against these.
When discussing the benefits of Keto & learning how much sugar is inside everything even ketchup I think many people would be constructive. Up until the topic of "healthy" translates into "mentally *feel* good about my body image" when it comes to a fat country. The first step in fixing a problem is to admit that we have a problem, and the electric wheelchairs at walmart carrying people unable to walk wasn't the first sign.
Like the standardized tests in schools where they lower the standards constantly, the same is true about what a "healthy" BMI is. Overweight in the 1970s is healthy in 2024, so aim a bit lower on the charts when losing weight. People feel pressured or that it's too much effort to be able to see their willy or feet when they look down. They feel it's normal to buy that extra airplane ticket for their second buttcheek & suggesting healthy changes is fat shaming.
People would be misunderstanding the impact of exercise & believe if they hit the gym and continue to eat anything they want that everything will work out which is wrong. Everyone's metabolic health is important.
Asking people to watch a movie without picking up their phone is probably too hard. Giving up coffee is too hard. Trying to intermittent fast temporarily is too hard. Most people expect other people to change, and when others change that their own personal life will change. Change starts with YOU! Older people need to experiment more & seek happiness through self exploration. Challenge yourself to make a change for 1-2 weeks.

Mostly to stay in touch with people. I think the time span between the last time I checked my feed and the time before that was like a couple months. I think it sensed that; having gone from having antagonizing things in my feed like transgender memes to outright patronizing me with topless women coming up and straight up edgy circa 2015/2016 alt-right style memes.
I hear you on changing things up. It's nice to have a routine but also get out of it every once in awhile. I'm not quite sure about keto though. Having studied biology for the better part of going on 8 years now glucose seems to be king when it comes to energy production. Whereas ketone bodies yield about 22 ATP molecules (think of that as the crypto currency for the body's energy needs) glycolysis (break down of glucose) yields about 30-32. Oh, and yeah, not giving up coffee. I drink coffee 363 days a year; no coffee on Tisha b'Av and no coffee on Yom Kippur. It's part of my morning ritual. It's the first thing I do, make my fucking coffee. I've been trying to cut down. Some days I was having like 6 to 8 cups of coffee. Granted, that was brewed coffee so a lot weaker than the moka pot I have now https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moka_pot. I usually have 2-3 cups a day now.

I'm not sure what ATP molecules are, but ketones or eating Keto just has a long list of benefits. The reduced inflammation resulting in better skin, faster healing & better joints among other things too. I'd imagine that intermittent fasting is easier on Keto then it would be with a typical high carb diet as getting high blood sugar levels followed by a stretch of low blood sugar isn't hard to imagine leads to an unstable brain/body.
I realize attempting to give up coffee for two weeks sounds like it might be too hard. The body will adjust after a few days, have some pain killers for the headaches. But reflect on the rest of the time to see if you feel better or worse. Same thing with going onto Keto, don't judge the first few days as your body is adjusting.
No caffeine & having a consistent blood sugar level combined might surprise you in how amazing you feel throughout the entire day. No roller-coaster of emotions, jittery then sleepy, anxiety/stress suddenly reduced, etc. Just try it once so you know! Giving up coffee for 1 day or trying Keto for 2 days doesn't reveal anything.
