The fact Drippy would have had to have approved/ release this thread perplexes me that someone with detective skills apparently couldn't see this is a scam or maybe the logic is if you are dumb enough to go along with this maybe you deserved to be scammed.

There's some exciting stuff happening in crypto the last 60 days, however overall when I zoom out there's been a lot more shady scammy stuff overall. So many joke coins like FARTCOIN setting up to become worth more and more. Tether is now printing more billions of dollars & are following through with their new plan of buying bitcoins for their reserve using a percentage of their profits. And bitcoin continues to climb higher because of so many buyers. And so tether prints more money out of thin air not backed by real dollars and the endless loop continues.

Microstrategy owns over 440,000 bitcoin now I believe, and they've openly laid out their business plan of endlessly buying bitcoin and extending further debt borrowing to buy more bitcoin. Bitcoin's value has gone up 700% since 2021 or 2022 (forget exact date) but Microstrategy's stock went up 2200% and more then half their value is purely the world's largest stockpile of bitcoins. Microstrategy now part of the Nasdaq100 is very close to being a Ponzi scheme, except for the fact it needs the value of BTC to continue climbing instead of needing fresh investors. When Microstrategy crashes, it will be so much bigger than the FTX crash that made global headlines. Cointelegraph article suggested Microstrategy disaster could be bigger than Bernie Madoff too.

I'm conflicted because crypto is a great tool IF DONE RIGHT. Blind investments & wishful thinking because Trump is crypto friendly is stupid & dangerous. Not speaking for the OP but for the entire crypto economy in general.

The idea would have been interesting during a gaming era before bots existed. Anytime you introduce any sort of real world value tied with a game or click based reward system, then bot automation will completely ruin the dream before it even gets started.

My name is HLTV, I've been online for 97hours straight and if you can send me 3 billion coins or $1 million in US Dollars as my reward for participation, I'd appreciate it.

The only use cases for crypto in a shooter game would probably be for purchasing NFT artwork in the form of Team Fortress sprays. Some crypto artist willing to spend many hours drawing the most detailed cat anus for Gaba in exchange for crypto.

Or worse yet, adding an achievement system to the game tied to a blockchain in an attempt to make this game a Team Fortress 1.5 which none of us would want. Drippy could run the website on a completely decentralized platform such as ICP where no physical machine is required & the website processing is distributed across many machines. There's no low latency physical to digital crypto solution for a gaming server however.

I want to die before they can upload my consciousness to the cloud, as I do not want to be watching Ozempic advertisements for 1 billion years while inside of a digital hell.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Why should anyone trust you with anything of theirs that has value?

Personally, I'm astounded this thread even exists.

The dumbshit general public will be losing billions possibly trillions worth of wealth from 95% of altcoin projects over the next 5-10 years. While I don't care about the public that much, I do care about the people in this small TFC gaming community.

It's likely most or possibly every crypto project will go only "up" in the coming weeks or months as Trump enters office. The last time a true manic skyrocket to the moon across every altcoin occurred was in late 2017 or early 2018, and that's still not guaranteed to happen this time in 2025 but is possible.

Most of you have enough common sense to at least investigate a project fully before investing a single dime. But be mega careful this time around, a fool and his money will be seperated quickly.

Trump cryptocurrency article about planning to designate cryptocurrency as a national priority came about a few hours ago, oh god!
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-01-16/trump-pla...

Like are there conflicts of interest if Trump is in the process of releasing his Liberty crypto project & his buddy Elon is holding an enormous amount of DOGE coin that people are buying because they love either or both men? Meanwhile let's push crypto forward so their personal wealth can grow? If these were selfless acts of concern about China's AI & blockchain ambitions for 2045 then that would be one thing. But Trump's NFT crypto sale a year or two ago was just embarrassing & he made less than $3 million acting like a clown.

There's some true dogshit altcoin projects with the smallest development teams without a future roadmap and unrealistic goals where the coin's value is going up daily all simply because it is a crypto project.

The roller-coaster is starting to move, with our view blocked because it's angle is straight up. However the roller-coaster track ahead is unfinished & the passengers are excited to hop on at the last moment.

Huge things for crypto investors to consider:

The MT GOX payouts were mostly given out in late 2024, the sell damage never occured due to all the buying due to the pro-crypto candidate Donald Trump winning the election. Removing anti-crypto SEC members and setting up 2025 to be very pro-crypto pushed BTC from $68k to $100k where the predictable psychological barrier remains.

The US Government's plan to sell many tens of thousands of Bitcoin scaring many people should be ignored, as they'll occur OTC (over the counter) and not affect exchanges or buy/sell walls in any way. As in they'll simply be private auctions that won't affect markets, likely selling the coins to corporations, whales or investing firms directly.

Tether is printing money out of thin air and now buying some bitcoin with it. Their 80k or however many BTC is too small to make much of a difference now. If left unchecked and they print over $1 trillion in the future, bitcoin could reach enormous amounts as the two dozen men now operating in El Salvador making up the entire team of Tether inc celebrate for operating such a successful global pyramid scheme.

Microstrategy doing the same thing but through corporate borrowing & lending. Simply acquiring bitcoin on an endless loop, now owning over 450k bitcoins which is the largest amount of coins in one spot. If the value of bitcoin continues to go up, they'll simply borrow billions of US dollars to buy many more coins. This act will likely force the value of BTC to climb higher & their stock will climb even faster like it has the last 3 years.

I predicted in 2019 that the all time height might be in 2017/2021/2025/2029/2034.
It's stupid obvious that you just add 1 year past the 4 year halvening date for bitcoin. Notice how far down the price always crashes for years afterwards every time?
2016 halvening + 1year = 2017 ($20k, I was right)
2020 halvening + 1year = 2021 ($69k, I was right)
2024 halvening + 1 year = 2025 ($104k, year isn't over yet but I'm right so far).

Maybe I'll be wrong and 2026 will go way higher than 2025. But a child with a crayon & a calendar could figure this pattern out rather easily.

The most alarming thing everyone except 10+ year btc fans miss is that Bitcoin's never existed during a true recession like in 2008. The holy shit moment where people are considering moving their wealth into gold or property, the public has never tested if they'd trust or distrust bitcoin. It's likely if selling became the thing to do it would become a race to the bottom. Bitcoin will become much stronger for having survived after a recession longterm but don't be surprised if bitcoin revisits $10k someday.

The year of a stock market crisis & people panic selling their bitcoin, when the share values of Microstrategy begins to crash they'll be forced to sell some of their 450,000 bitcoins. And ALL exchanges are currently washtrading (fudging) their volume data. It's only taking 3000-9000 bitcoins in buying or selling globally to massively move the spot price of bitcoin up or down today. Overall the global volume is still crazy low in 2025.

The futures markets are aiding in profits for spot price manipulations even further.

If Trumps new SEC picks decides to BAN Ethereum trading in the US due to it meeting the criteria for a security then a multi-year bear market would begin, however this is unlikely. If the dozens of possibly bannable Coinbase altcoin cases will be dismissed by Trump's efforts soon then expect the rise of thousands of scamcoins hitting the US exchanges soon.

My bank keeps telling me to offload my crypto (bitcoin) when I speak with my financial advisors. They also won’t let me list it as an asset on equity credit / mortgage applications.

I’ll offload it when it equals a down payment on a property or I find myself sucking dick to fuel my Benadryl addiction (again).
