There are 20-30 year old's talking about how communism might not be a bad thing to try or talking about how open borders might be a great thing for the United States. These types of people have clearly never lived in another country & clearly are not interested in educating themselves in how other countries that feature these traits have operated and what such outcomes have lead towards.

Emotional people fueled by assumptions, unable or unwilling to watch a documentary about how their "ideas" have translated into unexpected changes/consequences when other countries have tried that.
Sure, but these people are desperate. Consider what it takes for a younger adult to grow up in perhaps the most (for better or worse) capitalistically-propagandized nation the world has ever seen and then be so bereft of hope that they consider the authoritarianism of China.

Without intending to be accusatory, I notice you tend to look at societal issues from the perspective of "people are big dumb idiots" while there is so much blame to place on the very intentional circumstances that remove a person's desire to educate or better themselves. Western countries, especially the U.S. have dedicated unimaginable amounts of resources into brainwashing citizens into loving the financial system that requires inflation, routine depressions and a dedicated poverty class in order to function.
