have glow turned off every time I joined the server "!glow" where would I put the command? I don't have any scripts I actually type "bind kp_ins +det 20" and "bind kp_ins detdispenser" in console when I switch classes

I thought commands like that were simply remembered by the server for the player, so they wouldn't have to reset their preferences every time they joined to begin with?

I tested it just now, and that's how it seemed to function for me (the server remembered my !glow preference even after disconnecting and rejoining. perhaps the preference resets upon map change, though I'd think it unlikely considering how all the other preferences work?).

!glow is set in your current session, which means its reset on game change or if you leave the server for at least 1 minute. Its different from the other preferences because I think I wanted to keep it generally on for gameplay -- its nice to see when people have extra health.

If its the screen glow you don't want, you can permanently disable that by doing !sw -- but your character will still glow.

I had asked this before because sometimes you want to blend into the background (like when standing on the flag against the rock wall) not obviously glowing. I just use the !glow command at the beginning of every game when I remember to

So does !glow control whether a player's own character model glows, or whether all the other players will glow on the original player's screen if and when they're over 100?

Ironically, I've often been too lazy to bother experimenting with D2F-specific commands like this, heh.

The characters glowing is shared with everyone. !glow affects your own, and turns it off for you and everyone else

    Anyway, to answer the question...

Put:

setinfo "em" "1"

in your userconfig.cfg (or config.cfg if you don't have or wish to make a userconfig.cfg).

Then put:

!glow

in mapdefault.cfg (if you don't have one by default, you'd have to create one).

I haven't tested it, but based on what Drippy said, I'd think that should work. It might screw up if you disconnect and reconnect within a minute, where it'd toggle glow back on instead of off (and then you'd have to manually set it to off again).

Test it out and lemme know if it works, I guess.

It's wanting to hide from enemies and not be triggered by events I.E. bridge gods or even from friendlies like medics healing me in fr
let's say I am in the corner behind the default flag in the basement...and trying to hide from the enemy..then an event happens or a friendly over heals me...and I don't wanna glow...do I have to type this manually every round?
this may have been answered already, and I missed the answer
