The reason this server is dieing is because of Master and instances like the following. Keep in mind there were at least two other EVIL players were on and witnessed the behavior. He banned me for being in spawn after I sniped him three times in a row. My wife was talking to me so I stopped and turned my attention to her.
While I was in there talking to my wife he tried to enter spawn and got killed by another player. Someone needs to ban him from video games. Unfortunately, Master and EVIL server is a joke everywhere else because of reasons like this. I stayed because of the cool players. I came back because of the cool players.
Master got pissed, in spite of whatever lie he will tell you, because I killed him. Keep in mind while he was fussing about sniping Strangebrew 10x as much as he sniped me his and my sniper scores were almost the same. Also, unlike him, I didn't take a few cheap kills when I knew he was typing (fussing at other players). Why? Because even though I dislike how he runs his server he still owns the server and deserves some respect because of that.
I'll miss you guys, again, lol! Well not you, Master, but I do wish you the best.

I really don't understand what Master's plan was or is with that server.
Firstly he runs a load of mods that unbalance the game and favours more skilled players. The bunnyhop plugin that allows good bhoppers to reach crazy speeds. The trimp plugin (https://forums.esclan.net/index.php?topic=7291.0) that allows skilled players to jump from bridge ramp to battlements on 2fort, for example. The skull nade bag is so weird too. Heals infections (why? that's what medics are for) and gives out extra nades.
Secondly he allowed that attention seeking and disruptive lunatic Angi to completely dominate the server and ruin the experience for many players. Her behaviour is only amplified by having all-talk turned on (again, why?), so the entire server has to listen to her commenting after every kill, the constant maniacal laughing, the feuding and taunting, the veiled threats.
But then he seems to be banning people for being good at the game and killing him. He banned some dude for being a fast bunnyhopper recently too. Seems to be a contradiction to ban people for playing well or cleverly yet running stupid mods that only increase the skill gap between good and less good players.
In recent months some changes were made for the better.
1. He finally removed admin from Angi. Although perhaps he should consider a gag too or at least disable all-talk, as she apparently can't stop flapping her gums for more than 10 seconds. A fucking moron.
2. He disabled those bhop and trimp mods plus the custom nade bag.
The games were good for a couple of weeks but now he's re-enabled all the mods again, except there's now a custom cap or something on bhop and it feels awful. Why he can't just leave it on the default/vanilla setting I don't know. | |

I don't understand. Were you in the enemy respawn getting "cheap kills" or were you retreating to your respawn for more health, ammo, etc.?
It seems like he was just butthurt he was getting sniped so much.
@Nug, I can't figure out that bhop script myself. It's nuts seeing HW guys with speeds of scouts. | |

Ive spent some time late at night after Drippys server has emptied out on the OldSchool TFC server and have enjoyed the games. Suicide Kid runs it well.

OST is good fun, would be my regular server if it wasn't for timezones. It fills up in the middle of the night for me but I play on it sometimes at 6-8am my time. They're generally a friendly bunch and I like the variety. Wish they'd play more (or any) CTF though. | |

That "custom nade bag" is the ONLY mod that made any damned sense at all.
Hear me out:
It never vanishes when used, so no one has to "wait around for it".... they can get back in the action quickly.
As for what it DOES.... Actually.... healing infections, while I totally get what you're saying, can be a REAL hassle for new players. They go into Respawn/Resupply, thinking the normal health packs can cure them. What happens then? They STAY in Respawn, infecting their team mates... and it usually pisses off the regulars.
Sure, it "increases Spam"... but most of you fuckers love that shit anyway..... tell me I'm wrong. | |

Don't get it... I did capture the flag three times two/three days ago if that's what you're referring to.
@amnesia, is OST that server where one of the guys has that "Mermaid in China" band? I enjoy the games there too but I only see people on there once in a blue moon. Me being 9 time zones away in Israel also complicates things. It sort of begs the question, drippy's is most active for me around the afternoon time, so does anyone here work or is everyone here working the graveyard shift at the morgue? | |

Oldschool TFC server is cool but it has the same kind of activity that it's former brother Funtown had in that it mostly gets populated past 10PM EST. Sometimes I wonder if most of the people are west coasters, who knows. But I definitely can't stay up playing TFC at 1:30 AM on a Tuesday night with a bottle of whiskey next to me like I was when Funtown was new. :/
Suicide Kid is friendly and seems to do a good job running that place.
