Megadeth is on my bucket list. I've seen LoG a few times, but never got around to Megadeth.

Frankly, I just hate seeing my favorite bands in decline. Dave can't sing, and they even down-tune so he can marginally hit the notes, so it'll be interesting if it happens.

That's funny, so did I. Just happened across it while channel surfing, and came in early in the first music video they showed.

I enjoyed "Video Killed the Radio Star" so much, I went and bought the album, as well as their follow-up album.

Holy shit, was that REALLY almost 40 years ago?!
Nice edit! have you listened to "The Limousines" version of it?! It's great! The album is awesome too. Check it out iggy, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx5tSmOY_iM

lol I couldn't resist. It popped into my mind the first time I read it, and I tried to put it out of my head... but it kept coming back. So I said, "fuck it.", and made the post.

As for the video you linked.... they aren't bad.... but honestly, they sound like a discount "Bowling for Soup", and their "hit" 1985.

Still, it's better than a Dollar Store version of a popular band, and believe me, I've heard plenty of those during my life's journey.

In other words, I'd listen to that again. Which says a lot, considering there isn't much in the way of "modern" music that I like.

Speaking of more "modern" music..... you know something that... I'm not even sure if it's a legitimate genre.... but some of the "Entrance Music" that WWE comes up with is pretty damned good. Very few wrestlers are allowed to license music from outside sources(I could list, maybe 4 over the past decade), so most of it is "original".

Now, bear with me a minute... because I really like this one: https://youtu.be/oZ6VlUpGedU
I liked it enough that I bought it on iTunes. I don't normally buy WWE Superstar's entrance themes, but I have a few that just hit home to me. This is one.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Queensryche's Geoff Tate had that happen to him after their Empire album came out. Dude had an amazing voice, but he couldn't keep it going live.

It's one of the reasons that I am honestly okay with not going to another concert, if that's how it is. There are enough live performances available on DVD(no, it's not the same, but it's still okay) to satisfy my love of live music.

Sure, I'll go see Doro again, but she has always taken care of her voice. Steve Perry has blown out his throat, and I'm simply not interested in seeing their new singer. Rush is done now that Neil Peart died... Pink Floyd is done since Rick Wright died.... the list goes on.

But Hell, I got to see a lot of fantastic shows, by bands that were at the top of their game, so I'm okay with it.

So, I've seen Queensryche roughly 20 times, but haven't yet with Todd.

Tribe was the hard truth...the band was starting to split. Geoff wanted to do certain things, but the band wanted to stay in progressive rock. I like Tribe, but it's not a power album.

When they did the 20th for Operation Mindcrime, I saw them twice on that tour. It was great. Yeah, Geoff can't hit those notes anymore, but he still sounded good.

American Soldier wasn't bad, and it was better to hear the songs live.

Operation Mindcrime II was okay. Nothing stick out with it.

Dedication to Chaos was just....bad. Everything fell apart and it reminded me of some sort of Vegas lounge act. That was the end of the Tate era.

Frequency Unknown is a Tate solo project under the Queensryche banner. Horrible.

The last two albums, with Todd, have been pretty good. You can tell they're in a better place, although the drummer had to step out and his position in the band is in question.

Still, QR is another in my top 10 bands, and I'd go see them again with Todd, no issue.

But, I know what you mean man. I'm glad I got to see Rush, or Great White with Jack Russell still in the band, and a host of other things.

But, it's sad to want to see a show, but first you have to look them up to see if it's going to be worth it or not. I'll never go see Dokken again, but I got to see him in his prime, so it's all good.

One thing that really irritated me, was when I saw WASP at the Machine Shop in Flint.

Now, I'd seen them at the Royal Oak Music Theater, and it was amazing. Blackie was riding Elvis (mic stand) and the band sounded amazing. They still played Animal and all that. Only thing he didn't do was chuck out pieces of meat into the crowd.

Fast forward to the Machine Shop show, it was like The Crimson Idol tour. The music was fine...but my buddy and I realized that Blackie was piping in the vocals and it just pissed us off. It seems like after he found god, it became less about true entertainment, and more about being 'perfect' on stage. It just wasn't as fun, in a way.

Agreed though...I have the itch, but if I never see another show, I've had a wicked good time with what I did get to see.
