Yep, it appears that se7en is the one that put the pipes there...but was it because there was someone playing from spawn, was it because someone ran back into spawn.... So there is still a bit of a question. Maybe if there was a bit more or if we saw what happen before... | |

While I get playing devil's advocate and wanting as much conclusive evidence as possible, there comes a point where playing devil's advocate apparently shuts down a person's ability to think critically, including (and unsurprisingly) Walnuts' inability to think so much as to check the killfeed for the offending demo's name.
The video starts with a dead LG mere feet from the pipes with his bag and presumably his skull in plain sight (bodies and bags travel, but skulls always drop where a person was gibbed). It's more likely than not that LG was the initial victim of the pipes, then in following his established MO to a T, decided to stay dead and stick around to witness the demo repipe spawn to narc on him. (I don't recall from his previous vids whether he records from demos or from live games, but I could see him alt-tabbing out to get his recording software up during this period, at which point the demo had repiped spawn.)
He respawns and, in the time it takes him to return to main spawn, anyone with ears and game sense can tell that the demo never detted those pipes and no one was moving in main spawn, so the demo was clearly lingering. Anyone who can read a killfeed sees that Wild Karrde was just recently killed (by headache's SG, /cough), we hear him spawn, he exits, at which point he's detted.
So it is indeed moot since it's unquestionable that what we saw was a spawn lingering demo and a fresh spawn kill. It being likely (but not 100% certain) that LG was an initial spawn victim and that there were no other valid targets for the demo's trap is simply extra information to help fill out the picture. | |

No Spoofer, you can draw your conclusions and they may have a certain level of certainty but the point was that from the video alone what we knew to have actually happened was that this demo did pipe the exit and that this player was killed by this demo. All other stuff is speculation to some degree or other. So if you want to say it is moot because you believe it to be moot fine, but it's not because it's unquestionable. And I think that was all that Walnut's said. From the video, it was not 100% nothing more or less. I get you don't care for him, but within the four corners of the video is what we see. And I get the point of his prior respawn, but that does not change the fact that the two possibilities existed.
Yet, with Wildkarrds' report this going back and forth really amount to not much. | |

Is it possible that there was another player in spawn at the time?
Is it possible that LG was not killed by this demo from the video?
Since the rule is "intent...cheap kills" and if this demo kills a fresh player by mistake because he is trying to kill a hugger then there exists a possibility that this does not fall into that category. Hence, my line about having a little more video from before or after...
Also, if you want to cherry pick that's fine but I think your point was that Walnut's position was without base because there was no question as to what had taken place not that there was no question that a fresh spawn player was kill...since that is evident from the video
And again: wildkarrds made a report so the examination of this by non admins at this point is moot | |
