Your point has some merit, but, there are much more significant factors that serve to differentiate top players from the typical D2F pubber long before one even gets to the issue of scripts. (case in point: LG isn't a top player just because he has a RJ script.)
On the other hand, top players rarely utilize scripts that outright replace skill, such as using rocket jumping scripts. Reasons being that top players know there are endless variations of how RJs should be performed and utilized (meaning that controlling them manually is typically preferable), and also because of the stigma of replacing such a basic skill-based component of the game.
Binding keys to Engi or Demo functions, or using a jump buffer to compensate for how FPS impacts jump timing (and also so that players aren't forced to bind jump to mwheel), are more utilitarian and enable the player to focus more on the skill-oriented aspects of the game, rather than replacing them.
Chopping is indeed lame though, and banned and looked down upon in most communities. | |

bhop scripts don't really count? it just buffers the timing. Technically yes but doesn't perform an action for you.
I don't know what other scripts are ... beneficial? I chased a medic down through the spiral rj boosting myself down. MANUAL IS BEST.
I remember stanger had a zoom script/fov for shotgun it was hilarious. | |
