Wow, I can’t believe you just sit back and watch hoping he fires upon you. I feel like you were collateral damage at first as he moves past you to keep attacking the tele as you bloody watch. At this point, it is probably a cheap kill, but dang it man don’t stop playing. | |

At first, I wondered why he shot me so I stopped to figure that out, the teleport. Then he turns and his second/third shot kills this is why we have rules. Did anyone see the grenade go off? Who was that meant for? | |

If I have a feeling a tele destroyer will take a shot at me, I'll stay still. I do it so there's no way they can say I "aggressed" or "engaged" them.
Because it's getting pretty obvious that people are looking for any microexpression that will give them permission to light up secondary spawn...

You see the guy come up and just happen to be on a teleport. Fine. So the first shot is right at the tele, which it should be.
You say you don't know what the second shot was for, but it's clear from the video your tele entrance isn't destroyed until the 2nd shot he takes. So the 2nd shot was for the tele.
Now you swivel around at him with your gun out.
What is he honestly supposed to think you are going to do at that point?
I suppose it might be one thing if you had kept running out toward the dropdown. A fresh spawn not engaging anyone and trying to enter the field of play is protected.
But you didn't do that. You stopped and pointed
your gun at him.
While I'm not sure this is tje prettiest kill I've seen, I also think this is really clearly NOT what Drippy means when he refers to guys "going after cheap kills".

I will toss nail grenades towards the 2nd floor respawn area if a. Defender is playing at the respawn area b. Sg near respawn, or c. When I engage multiple targets on the second floor I toss a nail grenade in their general vicinity and proceed to kill as many as I can. I hope all these reasons are legit.
I am surprised that you feel that way kyree as I have ran into your mirvs coming out of respawn many times, not to mention det packs. I know det packs are legal, but hard to argue you aren’t trying to get cheap kills. | |

imo, the solly was going for the tele and took out LG as collateral damage. One of those things. But the nail gren towards the respawn door shows intent to nab some cheap kills. I hope he got dealt with. | |

Sir Help,...I come thru that doorway with an MIRV primed ...I'm not trying for cheap kills..I use that as cover..if I chuck it at a solly...it knocks them off a shot at me..if I chuck it an engie..it kills them and their sg they are building..if I have no target, it goes into the respawn entrance or goes into the box room or the ramp leading up to spawn into the rr...if I die with it in my hands then so be it
it would be an interesting stat to know how many lvl 1 sg's I've killed with that plan...it would also be an interesting stat to know how many flag protectors I've killed when the flag was atop the spiral, or how many people exiting respawn had killed themselves whilst trying to stop me
it could be argued that a soldier is using it as cover, but they are already down the spiral before it even takes effect

I vote legal kill with respect to him killing you. Dude, you didn't even engage him. I think players should be able to hunt teleporters and engage recently spawned players to still be in the game provided they make a hasty exit and not linger in the spawn.
The throwing of the grenade is a lot more controversial of a move I'll grant you. As a matter of sportsmanship and following both the letter and spirit of the rules I don't throw grenades in the sniper respawn when I hunt for teleporters. | |

Yeah, I missed that nail nade on first watch, too. Good spotting that one.
As for the kill... the first shot was pretty obviously at the tele, and you just happened to be there. Pretty much the same with the second shot.
Being "injured", turning around to go back for health/armour is a logical move.... so the third shot that killed you is, in my eyes, a cheap kill.
The frag that went off... could have been an errant throw intended for the tele. But that nail nade at the door? Nope.... that's going for cheap kills, and he should have been kicked/banned for it.
Let's even mention that he admitted it was a cheap kill(his reply to LG). | |
