The Mars Volta. Ive seen them a half a dozen times.

Twiddle puts on a good show as does Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Saw them at the Westville Music Bowl a few weeks ago.

    You little shit.

Yeah, I think I told the story. I saw them right when they released De-Loused. I was like 15 or 16.

That album legit changed me as a person. Different genre but I'm still of the thought that it's one of the best albums of all time, across all genres.

That was my intro to TMV album. And will always hold a certain fondness for it. Frances the mute was slept on by me. I gave it a listen later in life and was confused why I never listened to it much when it first came out. Amputechture came out soon after and dominated my listening. When they introduced Thomas Pridgen on drums was peak TMV skill level IMO. Amputechture and Bedlam in Goliath were just masterpieces of music. Octahedron was great as well. I lost interest in their later album. Dont even remember its name. I gave it one listen and noped it out of my life. Asilos Magdalena is probably my favorite non-english song ever. Definitely a more mellow calm in the chaotic storm that was typical of their music. Call it the eye of the storm.

Saw Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, Sum 41, Korn, 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Godsmack, Train, Goo Goo Dolls, Dave Matthews Band, Van Halen...quite a few others, but these are the ones that stick out to me.

Metallica - best band I've seen. Saw them in 2017 and 2019. Best I've seen because of the length of their show (~2.5 hours), the intensity of their shows, and their sound quality. Mind you, these guys are all in their late 50's. They're also my favorite band of all time, so I'm sure this is partly biased on my part. PS: their live sound engineer deserves more credit

Van Halen - David Lee Roth is still the good old entertainer he's always been. Sammy Hagar is the better live singer IMO, but Roth is the entertainer, for sure

Volbeat - Something really tickles my balls about Danish metal guys that also have a great blues-y swing sound to them

A7X - better live in 2006 when City of Evil was their newest album (2008 was a good show, too). Saw them in 2014 and 2017...still good, but not top of their game

Breaking Benjamin - live show sounded damn near as good as studio. Amazing

Godsmack - melted my face off. 10/10 would recommend

Probably going to get heat for this, but Goo Goo Dolls were fucking awesome, too. My wife loves them, I went to a show with her...one of the best concerts I've ever been to

How was Chevelle live? I've been a fan of them since the beginning. I've always wanted to see them... probably should make that a priority.

I think I landed my first tantrum to blind listening to The Red. Shit used to get me HYPE
