Poll: Right or wrong?
Right Decision (32%)
Wrong Decision (68%)
Poll has ended (it ran for 7 days). 22 total votes.
While we wait for Iggy to edit his videos, Roe V Wade was overturned.

I believe it should be up to the woman to do what they want with their body and make the decision themselves.
What say you?

I thought separation of church and state was a thing? I feel us as Americans are very highly critical of the Middle East incorporating Islam into their government and governments’ decisions that we let this happen?

Thomas's concurring opinion also suggests they revisit the ruling that protect contraception and same-sex relationships/marriages. Speaking of poverty pings, y'all better hope they have a decent connection in prison.

A D2F abortion debate? Surely this will be civil.

I mean, I knew damn right well the direction this thread (could) go in, lol. Not trying to stir shit though. I firmly believe this to be a massive mistake by the Supreme Court.
But we all knew it was coming.

    Side note:

USA will split up into multiple different countries in our lifetime. Mark my words.
I'm barely ever right about anything, but it feels like that will happen. Too much division and I don't think it can hold much longer. Losing faith in a lot of things.

Is it true that this decision means each individual state decides on abortion? If it is, then the majority decides thru votes. I'm OK with that. With all the gender transitions, he/she abortions will be available at CVS and Walgreens.

It’s been available. I forgot the name of the drug but it was commonly prescribed in my younger 20s / first attempt at college days to girls who wanted/ needed an abortion. It was a combo drug that the patient would keep the tablet under their tongue I believe and let it dissolve for some time then spit it out. The medication was to treat high BP i think but the first layer of the pill would induce a woman to “lose the baby”. If your ever at your pharmacy and see bottles with a red cap encircled by white, then those drugs would be utilize to do an “abortion”. It’s marked red to let women of child bearing age know to stay away when handling.

I like that the same people crying "my body my choice" about wearing a fucking mask are the same people fighting for this to be overturned.

Yes i'm looking at you old, white republicans.

If a pregnancy takes 9 months, is abortion OK at 8 months, 29 days? How about 8 months? 7 months? Part of the problem with this is not knowing when the fetus should truly be considered a human being. I'm mildly against abortion. I believe in various circumstances it should be allowed (rape, incest, etc). But I think part of the problem is the difficulty in knowing when it should truly be considered a human being.

There's other issues. If someone chooses to have an abortion I'm definitely against funding it. Pro-choice people think they should have the right to choose whether to have an abortion or not. But when you decided to sleep with the guy you made a choice to risk pregnancy. All choices and decisions lead to a result, good or bad. People need to understand they are responsible for their decisions. Thats one of the biggest problems with today's society (after dirtbag politicians).

In life, at work, at home, there are generally "rules" and "standards"

The problem becomes expecting a blanket solution to work for all the people, all the time...and the abortion topic is one of those examples

"Exceptions to the rule" are going to happen - and they should be treated as such...as "exceptions". You have a baseline set of rules, and then exceptions get dealt with

I think women should unquestionably have control over their bodies - and to add to that, a bunch of old white guys trying to make the rules for said women is absurd. Sorry, but I don't understand how men think they have the right to tell a woman what to do or feel about something that the man will NEVER experience (well...things are changing, and men are starting to get uterus' or something but that's a different topic)

Generally speaking, the majority of women who elect to get abortions do so for a good reason - rape, incest, medical issues, risk to the mother and/or the baby due to health, etc...

The problem is all the attention goes to the irresponsible women who want an abortion because "I just don't want a baby right now"

Well, I also don't want to pay my mortgage, but I did something that set off a chain of events that requires me to do that. Cause and effect.

Secks can make bebehs

Sure, protected sex even leads to pregnancy...but let's be honest here, the ever-mooching losers at the bottom of society that have no care for themselves or those around them, particularly how THEIR decisions affect others, are the primary offenders here that we're talking about.

With the logic of the anti-abortion crowd, why aren't we locking women up who had miscarriages? WHY DIDN'T YOU EAT A HEALTHIER DIET TO SUSTAIN THE LIFE OF THIS UNBORN CHILD YOU MURDEROUS WHORE!? WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOURSELF TO ENSURE A HEALTHY PREGNANCY? (not joking, after my wife's miscarriage, somebody said something along those lines to her - also, not looking for pity about what happened, just giving an anecdote)

What I'm saying is, there's a lot of data out there that tracks pregnancies, abortions, and all other stuff amongst women in many different categories (ethnic background, personal health, age, geographic location, etc...)

data: https://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/data_stats/abortion.h...
I think a bigger problem is education...and I don't think education is the ultimate fix. I do think that could help prevent more unnecessary abortions caused from irresponsible secks with irresponsible people. More education never hurt anybody

Always going to have irresponsible people...whether it be from drugs, alcohol, blatant disregard, whatever the case may be...society always has those people in it, and they'll always be the members that skew analytics and data (and quite frankly, fucking ruin life for the rest of us LUL)

Hey fellas, let's just imagine that your physiological role in society was to birth a small melon from your dicks...first of all, there'd be about 11 people in the world...second of all, how would you feel if a bunch of women in government started telling you what to do with your cock-canal?

I can only wonder...if one of these anti-abortion folks was married to a woman where the doctor said "If you have this baby, you're both going to die"...does he put his foot down and mandate that she have it? If they both die does he get penalized? Is there ever a moment of reckoning for this fella where he realizes "oh, maybe I should have let her decide what was best for her...maybe she'd still be here and we could try again...maybe there will be something we can do that's preventative that could help ensure a successful pregnancy next time?"

I doubt that level of self reflection and clarity exists in some of those folks, but it's nice to dream, amirite

Edited: because my spelling is atrocious at times
