Excellent game; Germany was using physicality to just push Japan off the ball in the 1st, but you could see something in Japan. They just kept coming and coming. They covered well and withstood several in box attacks and in the 2nd their perseverance paid off. Great game, would not want to face that consistent and high energy squad from Japan. | |

Costa Rica beating Japan and Morocco beating Belgium today make for some epic last group game drama.
Rooting for Canada to beat Croatia and Germany to beat Spain.
Unfortunately the most boring game so far I've seen has been USA vs England. | |

NED v USA
Just quality football by Netherlands, good passing, loose play and beautiful trailers on the crosses.
USA has inconsistent passing, lack of marking or attack follow up. Unless they focus this will get ugly. It's 2-0 now, it may end 4-0.

much better 2H, USA comes out strong and manages a goal but then again fails to cover the trailer on a cross and 3 - 1. Good game, but NED is too good on the ball and very disciplined without being tight. | |
