That's not what I'm saying. I think it's on the nose to desert your duties as a state legislature to protest gerrymandering and taking refuge in one of the most gerrymandered states in the union. I was listening to a podcast where they were saying I think it was California has 37% republican voters but has a fraction of that number in the house.
Some states use either independent or bipartisan commissions to do redistricting.
In any case, we'll see the ultimate gerrymandering if the Democrats win in 2028 in the form of DC and Puerto Rico getting statehood. | |

Not sure about BABL but I'm against them becoming a state if the motivation behind it is to tip the scales toward one party or the other. Let them become a state because it strengthens the US or benefits the country as a whole. If not, don't do it so you can "win" presidential elections easier. I have zero confidence that a majority of congressmen will act for the greater good of the country over their own parties and personal interests. | |
