Don't love him or hate him, but he's a step in the right direction for free speech.

Free speech is a step in the right direction. I'm not so sure Musk is the champion we're looking for.

Right now I think he's toying with everyone, and he's making the heads of both right and left explode in the process.

Whilst it’s funny to see him trolling the fascist left, he is a shill for the NWO. He’s an Elite, carrying out his role to usher in global fascism. Don’t believe me? Look into what he supports, his ideas etc. He’s not a friend of the plebs.

He’s a friend of mine. Any notoriety he gains brings me money.

He's a fan of Halflife. I guarantee you he has played TFC before. Imagine if he joins a game.
Also, I dunno what will happen to Twitter but we'll see. Such a polarizing figure. I think he means well, but he is clearly on the spectrum and I don't think he fully grasps some of the things he says or does.
I don't hate him nor do I love him.

I'm in the 'I kind of like him' category.

Twitter has always been a cesspool so it's a good thing that heads are rolling over there. They were never a fan of free speech(see Trump ban) and if Elon opens things up and is more transparent and a champion of free speech(won't hold my breath), then my opinion of him will of course increase.

I think this hear hits the nail on the head. Last I heard Musk is going to have the ADL on his Twitter moderation council.

@Illusion, what has Musk said about Half Life? We talking half life 1 or 2? Would be mad kicks to have him on trolling voice chat plugging tesla and twitter.

Edit: I like Musk for Space X. I think the $44 billion would be better spent on Space X than Twitter.

As a fellow autist, I could see myself doing this if I was in his position. Trolling the entire world is its own reward.

    Don't think I hate him,
but the fact that he's against free speech means I certainly can't love him.

He is for sure in bed with the MIC and will let us down at some point. But he seems considerably more free-speech than our government and his billionaire peers.

I consistently admire Elon and am amazed how peoples views of him change depending on whether they approve of what he’s doing.

I’m amazed at anyone who can start and manage a profitable company. Much less ones that have made thousands of people millionaires (who needs govt wealth distribution when you have entrepreneurs like Musk?). And he’s founded numerous multi billion dollar companies.

I scarcely doubt anyone here has done or is capable of anything like that.

The fact that he’s packing a 160 iq and can speak eloquently (in the details) with the Harvard and MIT engineers he employs is almost an afterthought.

I don’t know if having him take over twitter will be a good thing.

Banning people because you don’t like their ideas is an infringement on free speech.

Unless they are inciting violence, like Trump.

Hate speech is protected speech.

Jordan Peterson did warn Musk about this backlash from the left, regarding the twitter takeover.

Maybe there should be a separate thread on whether trump should have the ball gag remain.

I think keeping trump muted increases the chance that the few remaining moderates will forget just how delusional and dangerous he is, and, thus increase the chances he will be elected again.

I believe I have that opinion based on something Musk said but can’t remember if that’s my own thinking.

What does money mean to the richest person on earth? He apparently doesn’t own a home. He exists to invent.

The purpose of Tesla is to have the EV infrastructure in place so when in the next few decades we get controlled thermonuclear fusion in tomamak reactors we will be able to more quickly transition to fossil fuels.

The purpose of SpaceX is ultimately to get us to mars for the continuation of humanity (as it looses mass the sun will eventually expand and engulf this earth, and long before that we will likely ruin this planet due to pollution or war).

I see a man acting in what he perceives to be the best interests of humanity.

Tightly controlling peoples speech on twitter is bothersome, not for muting trump, but for the pending “mission creep” where anybody can be banned just for not touting a certain “party line.”

A free for all may be better than where content moderation will eventually lead us down the road.
